You can apply to a PTT office with your foreign identification number to obtain an e-Government password and register on the website.
Can I obtain copies of theses from the National Thesis Center?
All our services are provided online. We do not offer copies.
How can I access the "Thesis Data Entry Form" required for thesis submission?
You can access the "Thesis Data Entry Form" by clicking the "Sign in through E-Government" on https://tez.yok.gov.tr/UlusalTezMerkezi and signing into the system using your e-Government password. After filling out and signing the form, you must submit it to your institute together with a CD containing the full-text PDF file of your thesis.
I have filled out the "Thesis Data Entry Form." What should I do if I want to make changes?
After clicking the "Sign in through E-Government" on https://tez.yok.gov.tr/UlusalTezMerkezi and signing into the system using your e-Government password, you can access your form by clicking the "MY THESES" section and make necessary changes to it.
Can I access theses for which the author has not granted permission for reproduction and publication through the National Thesis Center?
It is not possible to access theses from the Center if the thesis authors have not granted permission for reproduction and publication. Printed copies of theses without publication permission in the Thesis Center Database can be accessed through university libraries via TÜBESS (Türkiye Document Provision and Borrowing System). For this, you must apply to your own university library. Photocopy services have been completely discontinued.
What should I do to make my thesis in the National Thesis Center available in full-text format again?
To make your thesis in the National Thesis Center available again in full-text format, you must contact dokuman@yok.gov.tr or call 0312 298 73 70.
My thesis is not listed in your system. What should I do to resolve this issue?
Institutes upload the PDF versions of theses received from students to the National Thesis Center Automation System and send the Thesis Data Entry and Publication Permission Forms to the Council of Higher Education (CoHE). If your thesis is not listed in our system, you should contact your institute to ensure these procedures are completed.
What should I do to restrict access to my thesis in the National Thesis Center?
Under the legal regulation enacted to provide online full-text access to theses for research purposes, Additional Article 40 was added to Higher Education Law No. 2547 through Article 10 of Law No. 7100, published in the Official Gazette dated 06.03.2018 and numbered 30352. This provision states: “Unless a confidentiality decision has been made by authorized institutions and organizations, graduate theses shall be made electronically accessible by the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education in order to contribute to science.” Accordingly, under the “Directive on the Collection, Organization, and Electronic Access of Graduate Theses,” graduate theses are made accessible through the National Thesis Center Database. Section 3 of the Directive pertains to restrictions on access to theses. All related procedures and operations are carried out within the framework of the provisions of this Directive.
I accidentally filled out the thesis data entry form more than once. What should I do?
During the data entry checks carried out by the Thesis Center, the Reference Number indicated on the form submitted to the Council of Higher Education will be taken as valid; therefore, special attention should be given to this number. The properly completed form sent to the Center will serve as the basis for evaluation. Incorrectly completed forms will later be deleted from the system.
How can we stay informed about current announcements regarding thesis uploads?
If you log in through the Institute Login and click on the Announcements section, you can access general announcements for universities, announcements related to your institute, and the latest information to be provided to you.
How can I upload a thesis to the Institute Module?
In order for institutes to upload theses to the system, they must fill in the Institute Information Form (Appendix-2) included in the Thesis Submission Guide and send it to tezderleme@yok.gov.tr to obtain a username and password.
How can I access information regarding the receipt of theses and their upload through the Institute Module?
You can access the "Directive on the Collection, Organization, and Electronic Access of Graduate Theses," prepared for uploading theses through the Institute Module, at https://tez.yok.gov.tr/UlusalTezMerkezi/.
How can I report problems encountered while uploading theses through the Institute Module?
You can report the problems you encounter during business hours by calling 0(312) 298 73 79-80 or by sending an email to tezderleme@yok.gov.tr.
How can I upload theses to the system?
You can access the Presentation File prepared for uploading theses to the system through the Help Menu in the Institute Login section or at https://tez.yok.gov.tr/UlusalTezMerkezi/Enstitu/dosyalar/yardim.ppsx.
How many personnel can be assigned in the Institute Module?
There is no limit on assigning personnel in the Institute Module. However, personnel who can continuously manage and monitor these processes should be assigned.
What is the maximum size allowed for thesis.pdf and supplementary RAR uploads to the system?
The system allows thesis uploads up to 200 MB. However, due to the large file size, difficulties and delays may occur during uploading.
What should the thesis formats be?
The full text of the thesis must be in PDF format. If there is an additional file, it must be in supplementary RAR format.
Can I still log into the Institute Module if my computer's IP address changes?
Even if individuals' IP addresses change, computers within the institution will receive an appropriate IP address according to the institution's internet gateway IP range and connect to the internet.
Can the same person or people be assigned to several institutes within a university?
In general, we do not recommend it. However, since some university institutes are small or have limited staff, we may assign the same person or people separately for multiple institutes if requested.
The thesis file and its attachments are too large. How can I upload them?
If you are unable to upload theses and attachments larger than 200 MB, you may send the thesis form and CD to our Center, and the upload process will be carried out by the National Thesis Center.
How can I check a thesis that I have uploaded?
To check a thesis you have uploaded, go to the "Institute Theses" section and search using the reference number. The thesis bibliographic information will appear. If the thesis opens when you click on the PDF label at the end of the thesis title, it means the upload was successful.
The thesis author uploaded the thesis onto the CD in separate sections. What should I do?
The thesis must be combined into a single file and be in PDF format. If there are attachments, they should be compressed into a RAR file.
If the thesis I uploaded was uploaded incorrectly, how can I re-upload the correct version?
If the thesis has not yet been approved by the National Thesis Center, you can upload the correct version over the existing one. If the thesis has already been approved by the National Thesis Center, you must send the corrected copy of the thesis to the National Thesis Center with an official letter.
Do I need to send the Thesis Data Entry Forms and CDs of the theses we uploaded to the Thesis Center?
You need to prepare a list of the theses you have uploaded and send only the Thesis Data Entry and Publication Permission Forms to the Center together with an official cover letter. The thesis CDs will remain with you.
What is the deadline for sending the theses I have uploaded?
Institutes regularly send the Thesis Data Entry and Publication Permission Forms to the National Thesis Center in March, June, September, and December, together with a list containing the thesis title, author's name, year, and thesis type (master's, doctorate, etc.).
If personnel in our institution will no longer perform this task for various reasons, how can we cancel their membership?
We can delete the personnel's password and system information upon your request. For this, you may contact us at 0312 298 73 79–80. However, the theses previously uploaded by that person will remain registered in our system under their Turkish ID number.
The thesis reference number is incorrect and I cannot find it. What should I do?
If you inform the National Thesis Center of the reference number and the author's full name, we will make the necessary corrections.
Can I access the thesis through the Institute Module even if I do not know the reference number?
You can access the thesis through the Institute Module not only by reference number, but also by searching for the author's full name, thesis title, department, type (Master's, Doctorate, Medical Specialty, Proficiency in Arts), and status (In Preparation, Approved).
