Bu çalışma, aile içinde ve toplumda bireylerin 18 yaşından önceki ve sonraki dönemlerinde maruz kaldıkları ve uyguladıkları fiziksel şiddeti belirlemek, fiziksel şiddete maruz kalanların adli makamlara bildirme durumunu saptamak, çocuklukta maruz kalınan fiziksel şiddetin yetişkin dönemde fiziksel şiddet uygulamaya etkisini ortaya çıkarma amaçlarını taşımaktadır.Çalışmamızda 18 yaşından önce aile içinde ve toplumda fiziksel şiddete maruz kalma, uygulamaya oranla daha yüksek bulunmuştur. 18 yaşından sonra kadınların erkeklere göre fiziksel şiddete maruz kalma oranının artarken, uygulama oranlarının ise neredeyse aynı olduğu görülmektedir. 18 yaşından sonra maruz kaldığı fiziksel şiddeti adli makamlara bildiren 44 (%13,1) kişi bulunmaktadır. 18 yaşından önce fiziksel şiddete maruz kalanların 3/4'ünün 18 yaşından sonra fiziksel şiddet uyguladığı saptanmıştır. Çocuklukta her iki ebeveyni tarafından fiziksel şiddete maruz kalanların yarısının eşe yönelik, yarısından çoğunun çocuklarına yönelik fiziksel şiddet uyguladığı saptanmıştır.Aile içinde ve toplumda maruz kalınan fiziksel şiddetin engellenebilmesi ve sağlıklı toplumların yetişebilmesi için bireylerin bilinçlendirilmesi, toplumsal yaptırımların oluşması ve uygulanabilirliğinin sağlanması oldukça önemlidir.Anahtar kelimeler: Fiziksel Şiddet, Adli Bildirim, Kuşaklar arası fiziksel Şiddet
The aims of this study are to determine the physical violence which is enforced and exposed before and after 18 years old in the family and among the society, to find out the ratio of the declaration to judicial offices by people who are exposed to physical violence, and to deduce the effect of exposed physical violence in childhood on enforcing physical violence in adulthood.In our study, we found that in the family and among the society before 18 years old, the exposure of the physical violence has a higher ratio compared to enforcement of it. After 18 years old, while the exposure of the physical violence is increasing among the women, the enforcement is almost the same. After 18 years old, 44 persons declarated to the judicial offices that they were exposed to physical violence. However, 3/4 of the people who are exposed to physical violence before 18 years old, enforce physical violence after 18. Among the people who are exposed to physical violence in their childhood by both of their parents, the percentage of the group enforcing physical violence to their wife is almost %50, and the group enforcing violence to their children is more than that.To obstruct the physical violence in family and among the society and to raise healthy generations, it is very important to make people conscious of physical violence and form social sanctions and make them applicable.Key Words: physical violence, judicial declaration , physical violence among generations
