Konut içinde zamanın en çok harcandığı alanlardan biri olan mutfak mekanı birçok işlevi bünyesinde barındıran bir alandır. Bu işlevleri en iyi şekilde gerçekleştirebilmek ve zamanı verimli kullanabilmek için mutfak mekanı içerisinde yer alan sabit donatı yüzeylerinde kullanılan malzemelerin özelliklerinin ve estetik kriterlerinin iyi değerlendirilip, kullanıcının fizyolojik ve psikolojik ihtiyaçlarına bağlı olarak seçilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, farklı sosyo-demografik özelliklere sahip kullanıcıların mutfak mekanı içersindeki sabit donatı yüzeylerinde kullandıkları malzeme çeşitlerinin neler olduğu; bu malzemeleri hangi niteliklere bağlı olarak seçtikleri; bu seçimin sonucunda ortaya çıkan beğeni ve şikayetlerin neler olduğu, hangi estetik kriterlerin tercihlerde etkili olduğu konularına cevap aramaktır.Çalışma 4 ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, sorun ve çalışmanın amacı belirlenip literatür çalışması yapılarak, mutfak mekanı, stilleri ve sabit donatı elemanlarında kullanılan malzemeler incelenmiştir.İkinci bölümde, belirlenen sorun ve çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda uygulama kısmına geçilerek çalışmada izlenen yol ve kullanılan teknikler açıklanarak çalışma alanı tanıtılmıştır.Üçüncü bölümde, yapılan anket çalışması sonuçları bilgisayar ortamına aktarılarak SPSS programı yardımıyla Frekans, Çapraz Tablo Analizi (Crosstabs) ve Ki-kare Bağımsızlık Testi teknikleri uygulanarak elde edilen bulgular ve irdeleme yer almıştır.Dördüncü bölümde, elde edilen bulgulara dayanılarak ortaya konan sonuçlar ve gelecekteki çalışmalara referans olabileceği düşünülen öneriler kısmı sunulmuştur.Beşinci bölümde, kaynaklara; altıncı bölümde, ekler kısmına yer verilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Mutfak Mekanı, Mutfak Sabit Donatısı, Mutfak Yüzey Malzemesi,Mutfak Stili, Mutfak Mekanı Tarihsel Gelişimi
Kitchen is one of the places in which people spend most of their time and includes lots of functions in it. In order to make the best use of these functions and to save time, the features and the aesthetic criteria of the materials used in the fixed cabinet surfaces of the kitchen should be evaluated and they should be chosen according to the physiological and psychological needs of the user. In this context, the aim of this study is to find answers to the questions such as what kind of materials users who have different socio-demographic characteristics use for the fixed cabinet surfaces in the kitchen; according to which characteristics they choose these materials; what kind of complaints and preferences arise as a result of these choices; and which aesthetic criteria play a role in the choices.This study consists of four main chapters. In the first chapter, equipments used for the kitchen area, styles and fixed cabinet elements have been analyzed determining the problem and the aim of study.In second chapter, in accordance with the problem and the aim of study, the study area has been introduced by explaining the methods used in the study and beginning the process of implementation.Third chapter includes the findings and investigations obtained by transferring the results of survey carried out to the computer and by applying the techniques of Frequency, Crosstabs Analysis and Chi-Square Independence with the help of SPSS.In fourth chapter, results depending on findings and suggestions that software will be referenced for future studies have been presented.Fifth chapter includes the references and the sixth chapter consists of appendices.Key Words: Kitchen Area, Kitchen Fixed Cabinet, Kitchen Surface Material,Kitchen Style, The Historical Development of Kitchen
