1980 sonrası Türk şiir kuşağı içinde kendine özgü bir yeri olan Necat Çavuş (1959), geleneksel şiirin imkânlarını modern Türk şiirine ekleyerek şiiri kendine has bir biçimde yorumlar ve böylece orijinal bir üslup oluşturur. Şair, düşünce bakımından Mehmet Âkif, Necip Fazıl ve Sezai Karakoç çizgisinde gelişen İslamî şiirin temsilcilerinden biridir. Bu çalışmada Necat Çavuş'un şiirinde ön plana çıkan tema ve imajlar ana hatlarıyla ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada Necat Çavuş'un şiirlerindeki tematik durumu ve değişimi tespit etmek ve şiirinin izlediği seyri ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda şair Çavuş'un otuz yıllık eserlerini kapsayan Küçük Okyanuslar adını ve "Toplu Şiirler (1983-2013)" alt başlığını taşıyan eseri örneklem olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu eserde yer alan tema ve imajlar bir bütünlük içinde incelenmeye çalışılmış ve bu incelemelere dayanarak bir sonuca gidilmiştir. Necat Çavuş hakkında yapılmış müstakil bir çalışma yoktur. Şairle ilgili yapılmış olan bu çalışma, onu tanımak ve şiirlerini anlamak bakımından önemlidir. Bunun yanında çalışma, 1980 sonrası Türk şiirinin ve Sezai Karakoç çevresinde şekillenen "Diriliş" hareketinin daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağlayacaktır.
Necat Cavus, who has a distinctive place in the generation of Turkish poem after 1980 era, interprets the poem specifically by adding possibilities of traditional poem to modern Turkish poem and, thus; creates an original style. The poet is one of represents of Islamic poem which is shaped by Mehmet Âkif, Necip Fazıl and Sezai Karakoc in terms of idea. In this study, prominent themes and images in poem of Necat Cavus were outlined. It was aimed to identify thematic case and change in poems of Necat Cavus and to reveal line of his poem in the study. In this regard, his work, Küçük Okyanuslar, including the poet Cavus's thirty years works and having as subtitle "All Poems (1983-2013)" was identified as the sample. Themes and images in this work were tried to be studied in a systematic unity and a conclusion was reached on the basis of these studies. There is not a private study about Necat Cavus. This study about the poet is important in regard to know him and search into his poems. Also, the study is going to provide to be understood better conception of ''Revival'' which is shaped around Turkish poem after 1980 era and by Sezai Karakoc.
