Bu çalışma altı yaş çocuklarının piyano eğitimi sürecine hazırlanmalarında kullanılan yöntemleri belirlemeyi ve piyano eğitiminde kullanılan bu yöntemleri benzerlikler, farklılıklar açısından karşılaştırmayı amaçlamıştır. Betimsel bir çalışma olan araştırmanın evrenini, Ankara ili içerisinde altı yaş çocuklarına piyano eğitimi veren kurumlarda çalışan piyano öğretmenleri ve eğitim alan altı yaş çocukları oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunda, Ankara ilinde özel müzik dershanelerinde piyano eğitimi veren 15 piyano öğretmeni yer almıştır. Çalışma grubuna araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler tezin alt amaçları doğrultusunda analiz edilmiş, bu analizden de önemli noktalar belirlenerek kodlanmıştır. Kodlanmanın sonunda ise bu veriler frekans yoluyla nicelleştirilmiştir. Bu araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular, özel müzik eğitimi veren kurumlarda çalışan öğretmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun altı yaş çocuklarının piyano eğitimi konusunda özel bir eğitim almadıkları ve kullanılan yöntemlerle ilgili kısıtlı bilgiye sahip olduklarını göstermiştir. Ayrıca altı yaş çocuklarının piyano eğitiminde renkler ve oyundan yararlanıldığı belirlenmiştir.Araştırmanın sonuçlarına bakılarak; Ankara'daki özel müzik eğitimi kurumlarında altı yaş çocuklarına piyano eğitimi veren öğretmenlerin piyano öğretim yöntemleri hakkında çeşitli hizmet içi seminerlerle bilgilendirilmesinin gerekli olduğu düşünülebilir. Erken piyano eğitimi hakkında daha fazla kaynak, kitap ve nota kitaplarının yazılmasının piyano öğretmenlerine yol gösterici olabileceği düşünülmektedir.
This study aims to compare and contrast the similarities and the differences in the methods used in preparation of the process of piano education of pupils aged six. The components of this descriptive study are the piano teachers who work at institutions in Ankara, providing piano training to children aged six and the six-year-old children themselves who are trained. The study group of the research consists of 15 piano teachers working at special music courses in Ankara. The interview form prepared by the researcher has been applied to the study group. The obtained data has been analyzed for the sub-purposes of the thesis; key points are determined and coded. At the end of the coding process, the data has been made quantitative through frequency. The findings from this study have showed that the majority of the teachers training at institutions that provide private music education did not receive specific training on piano education of pupils aged six and have limited information on the methods used. It has also been determined that colours and games are used in the piano education of six-year-old pupils.The study concludes by looking, private music education institutions in Ankara to children six years of piano teachers who have taught piano teaching methods in training seminars about the various services that can be thought of informing the necessary.
