1979 yılında Ayetullah Humeyni tarafından İran'da gerekleştirilen devrimden sonra pek çok İranlı farklı sebeplerden dolayı ülkesini terk etmiştir. Onlardan önemli bir kısmı da Türkiye'ye gelmiştir. Türkiye'ye gelen bu sığınmacılar üçüncü bir ülkeye gitmek için bir süre Türkiye'de sığınmacı olarak kalmaktadırlar. Bu süre içerisinde "uydu kent"olarak kabul edilen şehirlerde ikamet etmektedirler. Bu uydu kentlerden bir tanesi de Nevşehir'dir. Bu çalışmada, İran'dan çıkıp yasal ya da yasadışı yollardan Türkiye'ye gelen daha sonra da Nevşehir'e yerleştirilen mülteci adaylarının durumları sosyolojik açıdan değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Konuyla ilgili olarak iki haftalık İran seyahatinde, yapılan gözlem ve mülakatlarla bilgi toplanmaya gayret edilmiştir. Nevşehir'deki İran'lı sığınmacılarla görüşmeler ve anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Tesadüfi yöntemle ulaşılan 100 kişiye uygulanan anket ile sığınmacıların; demografik nitelikleri, sağlık koşulları, istihdam sorunları, sosyal problemler gibi konulardaki mevcut durumları tespit edilmiştir. Bu veriler istatistikler ve grafikler ile daha anlaşılır hale getirilmiştir. 1979 İran İslam Devrimi'nden sonra dini, siyasi, içtimai alanlarda problemler yaşayan sığınmacıların Türkiye'ye giriş yaptıktan sonra yaşadıkları sorunların büyük bir kısmının dil problemi kaynaklı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada sığınmacıların, ne gibi sorunlardan dolayı ülkelerinden ayrıldıkları da belirlenmiştir. İran'dan bir üçüncü ülkeye gitmek üzere Türkiye'ye gelen ve bir uydu kent olan Nevşehir'de yaşayan İranlıların bu göç hareketine karar verirken neleri göz önünde bulundurdukları tespit edilmiş, bu araştırmanın bulguları Nevşehir'de yapılan diğer araştırmalar ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Tezin birinci bölümünde; sığınma, mültecilik ve göç kavramları üzerine tanımlar yapılıp, bu konularda yapılan ulusal ya da uluslararası düzenlemeler ve kurumlar belirtilerek genel bir bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde; İran yakın tarihine genel anlamda bakılarak günümüz ile bağlantı kurulmaya çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise; araştırmanın tanımı, alanı ve yöntemi belirtilmiştir. In 1979 after the revolution which which was performed by Ayetullah Humeyni in Iran, many Iranians left their country for some reasons. A good part of them came to Turkey. The refugees who came to Turkey, have stayed in Turkey for a while to go to the third country. In this time they stayed in the cities which were accepted as 'Satelitte City'. One of these cities is Nevşehir. In this study it was tried to evaluate in terms of sociologic that conditions of refugee candidates who came to Turkey from Iran in legal or illegal ways. The travel to Iran about the subject,it was tried to collect information with the observations and the interviews. The interviews and survey study were done with the Iranian refugess in Nevşehir. With the survey which was applied to 100 people who were reached randomly, it was determined the present situtions about the subjects like qualification of demographic, the health conditions, the problems of employment,social problemes. These datas were became more clear with statistics and graphs. After 1979 Iran Islamic Revolution, it was determined that a major part of the troubles originating from language problems of the refugees who had problems in the religious, political, social areas after they entered to Turkey. In the research it was also determined for what sort of problems the refugees left their countries. It was also determined what the Iranians who came to Turkey for the purpose of going the third counrtry and have lived in Nevşehir which is a satellite city,took into consideration when deciding to this migration movement, the discoveries of this reserach was compared with the other researches done in Nevşehir. In the first section of the thesis on the notion of the sanctuary, immigration and migration were defined,general information were given with remarking national and international arrangements and foundations which were done in these subjects . In the second section looking into late history of Iran in general terms, it was tried to link up today. In third section the definition,area,method of the research was stated.
