Bu çalışma Edremit Körfezi?nde dağılım gösteren Prosobranchia alt sınıfına ait türleri saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Söz konusu bölgeden seçilen 13 istasyonun çeşitli derinlik ve biyotoplarından örneklemeler yapılmıştır. Alınan örneklerin incelenmesi sonucu, Prosobranchia alt sınıfına ait 3 ordo, 23 familya, 76 tür ve bu türlere ait 1551 birey tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca bu tür ve bireylerin dağılımını ve ekolojik özelliklerini belirlemek için çeşitli istatistiksel analizler yapılmış ve sonuçlar çeşitli grafik veya dendrogramlar oluşturularak ifade edilmiştir.
The present study was performed with the aim to determine the species of subclass Prosobranchia distributed in Edremit Bay. The samples were taken from different depths and biotopes of 13 stations selected in the investigated region. As a result of this study, 76 species and 1551 individuals, belonging to 23 families and 3 order within Prosobranchia, were identified. Furthermore, various statistical analyzes were carried out to establish the distributional and ecological characteristics of those species and individuals, and the results were shown with various graphics or dendrograms.
