Bu tezin amacı, sektörel farklılıkların, lojistik sistemlerde yarattıgı farklılıklar dogrultusundaideal depo tasarımlarında dikkat edilmesi gereken fonksiyonların, tasarım metodolojisi altındaönemine dikkat çekmektir.Üretim maliyetlerinin önemli bir kısmını lojistik süreçlerdeki maliyetler olusturdugundanlojistik operasyonlar firmaların rekabet yetenegini belirlemede hayati bir rol oynamaktadır.Bir depo içerisinde söz konusu olan lojistik maliyetler ise, büyük ölçüde tasarım asamasındabelirlenmektedir.Bir depo tasarımı genel olarak, fonksiyonel bir tanımlamadan yola çıkıp teknik özelliklerboyunca devam ederek ekipman seçimi ve yerlesim planının belirlenmesine kadar süregelenbir prosestir. Bu sürecin her adımda amaca iliskin performans kriterleri (maliyetler,hammadde miktarı, depolama kapasitesi, yanıt süreleri) ile hareket edilmelidir.Bu çalısmada sektörel farklılıkların etki ettigi depo tasarımına iliskin iskelet yapı elealınmıstır. Arastırmada, depo tasarımında veya depo alt sistemlerinde karsılasılan problemleranaliz edilmektedir. Bu çalısma içerisinde lojistik süreçler kapsamında depo yönetimi vedepolama fonksiyonunun önem ve gerekliligi vurgulanmaktadır. Depo karakterizasyonuna,depo tasarımının genel taslagına ve yerlesim planı bazlı detaylı bir depo tasarımınınelemanlarına (malzeme tasıma araçları, raf sistemleri vb.) iliskin baslıklar irdelenmektedir.Ayrıca, tekstil ve gıda depolarında yapılan tasarım uygulaması ile iyilestirme önerileri vedeponun modellenmesine iliskin bir çalısma sunulmaktadır.Anahtar kelimeler: Lojistik, depolama operasyonları, sektörel lojistik sistemler, ideal gıdadepo tasarımı, ideal tekstil depo tasarımı.
This article is a report on the optimum warehouse design that has different properties cause ofthe sectoral disparities and optimum warehouse design functions in design methodology.Logistics operations play a vital role in determining a company?s competitiveness, sincelogistics costs constitute an important part of the overall production costs. The logistic coststhat are made inside a warehouse are to a large extent determined during the design phase.Typically, a design is a process that runs from a functional description, through a technicalspecification, to equipment selection and determination of a layout. In each stage of thisprocess, target performance criteria (costs, throughput, storage capacity, response times) haveto be met.In this work, a framework for warehouse design is discussed. In the research, problems thatare encountered during the design of a warehouse or a warehouse subsystem are analyzed.Within this study the importance and the need of warehouse management and warehousingfunction in the logistics processes are emphasized. The captions concerning warehousecharacterization, the general draft of warehouse design and the components of a detailedwarehouse design based layout (material handling equipment, the systems of shelf etc.) areexamined. In addition, improving suggestions and a study related to modeling the warehousewith a warehouse design practice in an existing warehouse that is belong to food and textilecompanies are presented.Keywords: Logistics, warehousing operations, sectoral logistics systems, optimum foodwarehouse design, optimum textile warehouse design.
