Bu araştırma, ailelerin ve öğrencilerin lise seçimlerini etkileyenfaktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Lise seçimini etkileyen faktörler ikifarklı grupta toplanmıştır. Birinci grup okul ve eğitimle ilgili faktörleri içerirken,diğeri kişisel ve ailevi faktörleri içermektedir.Araştırmanın amaçları doğrultusunda hazırlanan anket, ön uygulamasonuçlarına göre yeniden düzenlenerek, Ankara ili Çankaya ilçesindebulunan genel, özel ve mesleki 67 lisedeki 368 öğrenci ve velisineuygulanmıştır. Toplanan veriler SPSS 10.0 yazılım programındaçözümlenerek, ailelerin ve öğrencilerin lise seçimlerini etkileyen faktörlere aitsonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlar şunlardır;Ailelerin ve öğrencilerin lise seçimlerini etkileyen faktörler birbirlerineoldukça büyük benzerlikler göstermektedir.Velilerin lise seçimlerini etkileyen faktörler, öğrenim durumlarına veöğrencilerinin cinsiyetlerine göre anlamlı farklar içermez iken, gelirdurumlarına göre anlamlı farklar mevcuttur.Öğrencisi kamu lisesinde ve özel lisede okuyan velilerin liseseçimlerini etkileyen faktörler arasında anlamlı bir farklılık vardır. Öğrencisiözel lisede okuyan velilerin lise seçimlerinde, okul ve eğitimle ilgili faktörler ilekişisel ve ailevi faktörlere katılma düzeyleri, öğrencisi kamu lisesinde okuyanvelilerinkinden daha fazladır.Kamu lisesi ve özel lisede okuyan öğrencilerin lise seçimlerinietkileyen faktörler arasında anlamlı bir farklılık vardır. Özel lisede okuyanöğrencilerin lise seçimlerinde, okul ve eğitimle ilgili faktörler ile kişisel veailevi faktörlere katılma düzeyleri, kamu lisesinde okuyan öğrencilerinkindendaha fazladır.Ailelerin okul seçimlerini etkileyen okul ve eğitimle ilgili faktörler okultürlerine göre anlamlı bir fark içermemektedir.Ailelerin okul seçimlerini etkileyen kişisel ve ailevi faktörlerin, okultürlerine göre anlamlı bir fark taşıdığı belirlenmiştir. Öğrencisi fen lisesindeokuyan veliler, öğrencisi genel lise, anadolu lisesi ve meslek lisesinde okuyanvelilere göre kişisel ve ailevi faktörlere daha fazla katılmaktadırlar.Öğrencilerin okul seçimlerini etkileyen okul ve eğitimle ilgili faktörler ilekişisel ve ailevi faktörlerin okul türlerine göre anlamlı bir fark taşıdığıbelirlenmiştir. Fen lisesi öğrencileri, genel lise, anadolu lisesi ve meslek lisesiöğrencilerine göre okul ve eğitimle ilgili faktörler ile kişisel ve ailevi faktörleredaha fazla katılmaktadırlar.
This research aims to determine the factors that affect the high schoolchoices of parents and students. The factors affecting the high school choiceare classified into two different groups. While the first group includes thefactors related with school and education, the latter includes the personal andfamily factors.The questionnaire, prepared in the direction of the researchobjectives, was rearranged according to the preapplication results. Then, itwas applied to 368 parents and their students in totaly 67 public, private andtrade high schools suited in Çankaya District in Ankara. The results of thefactors affecting high school choices of parents and students are obtained byanalyzing the collected data in SPSS 10.0 software program. The obtainedresults in this research are as follows;The factors affecting high school choices of parents and studentsindicate similarities between each other.Whereas the factors affecting high school choices of parents do notinclude any significant difference with respect to their educational levels andthe sexualities of their students, there are significant differences with respectto their income levels.There is a significant difference between the factors affecting the highschool choices of parents whose students are enrolled in a public high schooland of parents whose students are enrolled in a private high school. Theagreement levels of parents whose students are enrolled in a private highschool for both the factors related with school and education and the factorspersonal and family are higher than of parents whose students are enrolled ina public high school in their high school choices.There is a significant difference between the factors affecting the highschool choices of students enrolled in a public high school and of studentsenrolled in a private high school. The agreement levels of students enrolledin a private high school for both the factors related with school and educationand the factors personal and family are higher than of students enrolled in apublic high school in their high school choices.The factors affecting parents? school choices and related with schooland education do not include any significant difference with respect to schooltypes.It is determined that the personal and family factors which affectparents? school choices include a significant difference with respect to schooltypes. The agreement levels of parents whose students are enrolled in ascience high school for the personal and family factors are higher than the ofparents whose students are enrolled in a public, anatolian or trade highschool.It is determined that both the factors related with school and educationand the factors personal and family, which also affect students? schoolchoice, include a significant difference with respect to school types. Theagreement levels of students enrolled in a science high school for both thefactors related with school and education and the factors personal and familyare higher than of students enrolled in a public, anatolian or trade highschool.
