Ekonomik olaylar bireylerden ayrı düsünülemez. Bu sebeple ekonomikkrizlerin sadece ekonomik degisken ve sonuçlarla ele alınması bizi eksik ve yanlıssonuçlara ulastırmakta, sosyal maliyetlerin gözardı edilmesine neden olmaktadır.Özellikle 1980'lerden sonra, hem maddi hem de kültürel alanda küresellesendünyada krizlerin derinligi artabilmekte, uygulanan yapısal uyum politikaları ve neoliberalpolitikalar sosyal maliyetlerin derinlesmesi sonucunu dogurabilmektedir.Çalısmada ekonomik krizlerinin toplumsal sonuçları arastırılmıs, bu çerçevedeTürkiye'de Subat 2001'de baslayan ve büyük bir daralma ile sonuçlanan krizintoplumsal sonuçları incelenmistir. Çalısmanın sonunda nitelikli isgücünün de krizdenbüyük oranda etkilenmis olmasının Subat krizini diger krizlerden farklı kıldıgıgörülmüstür. Bu çerçevede cumhuriyet tarihinde yasanan krizler içerisinde en agırsekilde algılanan kriz 2001 Subat krizi olmus, bu da sosyal maliyetlerin artmasınaneden olmustur. Çalısma sonucunda hem ekonomik, hem de sosyal maliyetler olarak2001 Krizinin toplumu derinden etkiledigi görülmüstür.
Economic events cannot be considered without individuals. Thus, economiccrisis cannot be considered only with its economic variants. Otherwise, the socialcosts of an economic crisis cannot be estimated properly. Especially after 1980?s, asa result of globalization and liberal policies, social costs may occur deeper. In thisstudy according to this perspective, the general consequences of economic crisis havebeen examined. Social costs of the crisis which arised in Turkey in Ferbruary 2001have been examined as the main topic of the study. In the conclusion; it has beenfound that including exclusive employees, employees from all level suffered from thecrisis dramatically. Therefore, the crisis is distinctive and the worst perceived one inall that took place in the last 80 years. In the conclusion, it is seen that the crisis hadaffected both economic and social field dramatically.
