Bu çalışmada, Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio'nun Printemps et autres saisons (Bahar ve diğer mevsimler) adlı öykü kitabında bulunan ?La saison des pluies? (Yağmur mevsimi) adlı öyküsünü Algirdas Julien Greimas'ın geliştirdiği göstergebilim yöntemini temel alarak çözümlemeye çalıştık. Çözümlememizi öykünün başkahramanı Gaby Kervern'in yaşam evreleri üzerinde yoğunlaştırdık. Kuramsal bilgiler doğrultusunda öykünün çözümlemesi yapılırken, metnin yüzey yapısından hareketle derin düzeydeki yapısına açıklık getirmeye, böylece metnin anlam evrenine ulaşmaya çalıştık.
In this study, we have tried to analyse the story of Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio entitled ?La saison des pluies? (which is included in Printemps et autres saisons, a collection of short stories) in the methodological framework of Algirdas Julien Greimas?s semiotic analysis. We have focused our analysis on the life stages of Gaby Kervern, the main character of the story. While analyzing the story in line with the theoretical knowledge, we have tried to clarify the deep structure of the text through its surface structure in order to reach the semantic universe of the text.
