Antik Çag tiyatroları mimari ve akustik açıdan dönemlerine göre üstün özelliklergösteren yapıtlardır. Modern Çag'da insa edilen açıkhava tiyatrolarında ise geçmisintasarım teknikleri günümüz yapım teknolojisine uyarlanmıstır. Modern Çagtiyatrolarından birisi sayılan İstanbul Cemil Topuzlu Açıkhava Tiyatrosu antikçaglardan beri süre gelen açık hava tiyatrolarının arazi vaziyetine, iyi görme ve iyiisitme ihtiyaçlarına göre form kazanarak insa edilmis bir örnegidir.Bu çalısmanın amacı, açıkhava tiyatrolarının akustik özelliklerini, antik dönem tiyatrouygarlıklarının tarihsel gelisimine uygun bir biçimde inceleyerek, yakın dönemde insaedilmis olan İstanbul Cemil Topuzlu Açıkhava Tiyatrosu örneginde elde edilen bulgularıbu veriler ile karsılastırmaktır. Çalısmada; açıkhava tiyatrosunun bilgisayarlasimülasyon yöntemi ve alan ölçmeleri yoluyla elde edilen akustik parametre degerleri,birbirleriyle karsılastırılarak farklı yöntemlerin degerlendirilmesi yapılmıstır.Modern tiyatroların degerlendirilmesinde kullanılan çesitli parametreler yardımıylaincelenen Cemil Topuzlu Açıkhava Tiyatrosu hacim akustigi ölçütleri açısından AntikÇag tiyatroları ile uyumlu bulunmustur. Çatı strüktürünün yol açtıgı bazı sorunlardısında frekans aralıklarına göre tutarlı degerler sagladıgı ve genel olarak iyi akustikkosullara sahip oldugu saptanmıstır.Anahtar Kelimeler: ses , akustik, simülasyon, antik tiyatrolar, açıkhava
Ancient theatres are masterpieces which display excellent architectural and acousticqualities among their periods. Ancient tecniques have adapted to modern tecniques tobuilt new modern theatres. stanbul Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre is one of theexamples which shows the adaptation of old building tecnologies to new tecnologies bythe means of landscape, location, good sightseeing and clear auditory.The aim of this study is to investigate open-air theatre acoustic features which aresuitable for the evaluation of the ancient period theatre civilizations. The findings arecompared with the results of modern time theatre of Istanbul Cemil Topuzlu Open-AirTheatre. In this thesis, the parametre values of computer simulation method and freefield measurement method are compared with each other in order to assess thedifference of two different acoustical methods.Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre has proven to maintain positive acoustical conditionsaccording to the respects for acoustical quality parametres. Despite the fact that the roofcauses some irregularities for some parametres at certain frequencies, most of the valuesare appropiate for each octave band frequency. Generally it has shown that the theatrehas good conditions for acoustics.Keywords: sound, acoustics, simulation, ancient theatres, open-air
