Rus Folklor Çalışmalarında Türk Dilli Metinler Üzerine Yürütülen Tartışmalar" adlı tezde Rus halk bilimi tarihinde Türk dilli metinler alanında yapılan çalışmalar ve tartışmalar üzerinde durulmuştur. Tezde Rusya'nın Türk halkları ile tarihî-kültürel ilişkileri ve izleri, etkileşim biçimi ve alanları, Rus kültürüne yansıması örneklerle anlatılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında öncelikle erken dönem Rus halk bilimindeki ilk Doğu Çalışmaları ve Türk dilli metinler üzerinde durulmuştur. Rus halk biliminin oluşumuna zemin hazırlayan "Romantizm", "Halkçılık", "Halk Kültürü" ve "Slavcılık" kavramlarının oluşması ve gelişme süreci; ilk folklor derlemeleri, Doğu'ya yönelik yapılmış ilk çalışmalar ve akademik faaliyetler inceleme kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Devrim öncesi Rus halk bilimi çalışmalarının kuramsal eğilimleri ve Türk dilli metinler üzerinden yürütülen tartışmalar Rus halkbilimine yön veren ilk akımlar bağlamında incelenmiştir. Rusya'da Çarlık ve Sovyetler Birliği döneminde Rus halk bilimi çalışmaları tarihî ve gelişim şartları Doğu ve Türkoloji çalışmaları ile ilişkilendirerek analiz edilmiştir. Rus halk bilimi çalışmalarının merkezinde olan Rus halk kültür ve edebiyatının özgünlüğü ve Türk kökenlerine yönelik tartışmalarının seyri, Rusya'da yapılan akademik çalışmalar üzerinden gösterilmiştir. Konunun Sovyetler Birliği döneminde ise, yeni ideolojinin halk bilimine bakışı, Sovyet folklorunun oluşumu ve işlevi, Sovyet ideolojisini yaygınlaştırma faaliyetlerindeki rolü ve önemi, halk bilimi çalışmalarına etkisi, Rus halk biliminin kökeni ve gelişme evreleri değerlendirilmiştir.
Emphasis has been put on the works and discussions in the field of texts with the Turkic Language in Russian folklore history at the "Discussions Carried Out Over Texts With The Turkic Language In Russian Folkloric Works" titled dissertation. The dissertation describes with examples, the traces, interaction manner and fields of Russia and Turkic Peoples and its reflection to the Russian culture. The study primarily focuses on the first Eastern Studies and texts with the Turkic Language in the early period Russian folklore. The research examines the formation and the development process of "Romanticism", "Populism", "Folk Culture" and "Slavism" concepts, first folklore compilations, first studies on the East and academic activities that has set the ground for Russian folklore. The theoretical tendencies of pre-revolution Russian folklore studies and the discussions carried out over the texts with the Turkic Language have been examined within the context of the first movements that have shaped Russian folklore. The history and development conditions of Russian folklore studies in the Tsarist and Soviet Russia periods have been analysed by association with East and Turcology studies. The uniqueness of the Russian folklore and literature which is at the centre of Russian folklore studies and the course of the discussions regarding its Turkic roots, have been featured via the academic studies made in Russia. While, regarding the Soviet Union of the topic, the new ideology's approach to folklore, the formation and function of Soviet folklore, its part and importance in the expanding of the Soviet ideology, effect on folklore studies, the roots of Russian folklore and development stages have been assessed.
