20. YY.PEYZAJ TASARIMININ TEMEL İLKELERİ VE ULUS PARKI ÖRNEĞİ ÖZET Bu çalışmada, modern peyzaj tasarımının temel ilkeleri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın Öznesi olan modern peyzaj tasarımı tüm özellikleri ile irdelenirken, bugün evrensel normlar olarak kabul edilen bazı ilkelerin nasıl ortaya çıktıkları, neden kabul edildikleri ve bugünün peyzaj tasarımını nasıl beslediği araştırılmıştır. Arkaik dönemden günümüze gelen sürede oluşan bilgi birikiminin modern tasarım kültürü içindeki izleri ortaya konmuştur. Peyzaj tasarım tarihinin irdelendiği bölümün arkasından modern peyzaj tasarımının Özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Günümüzde tüm tasarım disiplinlerinin tasarım ilkelerini farklı açılardan yaklaşarak belirlediği anlaşılmıştır. Bu durum, peyzaj tasarımcıları arasında da mevcuttur. Modern peyzaj tasarımının temel ilkelerini ortaya koymak için yapılan literatür araştırmasında farklı peyzaj tasarımcılarının farklı içerikleri olan kriter şablonları oluşturdukları görülmüştür. Birbirlerinden farklı bakış açılarına sahip birçok şablonun en yararlı ve zengin hale gelebilmesi için bir ön çalışma yapılmış ve bir ilkeler bütünü ortaya konmuştur. Böylece, herhangi bir peyzaj tasarımını önemli bîr eksiklik olmadan yönlendirebilecek bîr kriter şablonu üretilmiştir. Bu kriter şablonunda, modern peyzaj tasarımının temel ilkeleri dört ana başlık altında incelenmektedir. Bu gruplar, temel elemanlar, değişkenler, sınırlayıcılar ve organizasyon öğeleri olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde oluşturulan ilkeler sistemi peyzaj tasarımcısı için bîr rehber niteliğindedir. Bu rehberin yeterliliğinin sorgulanması için bir örnek alan üzerinde uygulanması gerektiğine karar verilmiştir. Bu yüzden, Ulus Parkı örnek alan olarak belirlenmiştir. Ulus Parkı'nın modern tasarım ilkelerinin sorgulanması için seçilmesinini nedenleri; park tasarımının bütünlüğü, amaca tüm birimlerin birden yönlendirilmiş olması, alana müdahalelerin şehrin diğer rekreasyon alanlarına göre çok daha az olması, tasarımcının özgür bırakılması ve alanın yüksek rekreatif potansiyelidir. Parkta yapılan sorgulamalar sonucunda alanın modern peyzaj tasarımı açısından durumu ortaya konmuştur. Sonuç bölümünde ise, modern peyzaj tasarımının Türkiye'deki durumu tartışılmıştır. Ülkemizde çeşitli sebeplerden dolayı oluşturulan iddaasız projelerin yeterliliği irdelenmiştir. Son olarak, modern peyzaj tasarımının ülkemizde de tüm potansiyeli ile uygulanabilmesi için nelerin yapılması gerektiği ortaya konmuştur. ıx
THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF THE 20th CENTURY LANDSCAPE DESIGN AND ULUS PARK MODEL SUMMARY In this study, the fundamental principles of modern landscape design are determined. Modern landscape that is the subject of the study is examined about its all characteristics. The sources of some of the principals of modern design, the reasons of the acceptance of these norms and how they feed the landscape design of today are all the questions of the second section of the study. The footprints of the knowledge accumulation that has come from the archaic time to today are determined in the modern landscape design. After the section in which the history of the landscape design is examined, the characteristics of the modern landscape design are searched. While the searching about the third section, an important point is understood that all design disciplines have their own and different point of view to determine the principles of design. This situation has been among the landscape designers, too. So, during the literature search, there have been many different criteria patterns that have different contents of different landscape designers. A pre-study is done to unite the different points of views to make a system of design principles. So, a criteria pattern of design is produced that can direct the design of landscape without an important deficiency. In the criteria of patterns, the fundamental principals of the modern landscape are determined under four essential titles. These groups are called the fundamental elements, the variables, the limitatives and the organization elements. The design criteria system that is produced in the third section is a guide for the designer. To cross-examine the criteria partem of design, there must be a model recreational space. So, ulus Park is chosen as the model space. The reasons of the choice are the unity of the park design, the direction of all the unites toward the aim, the less interference than the other recreational spaces of the city, the freedom of the designer and the high potential of the space. By the result of cross-examining in the park the design situation of park is determined, In the conclusion section, the situation of the landscape in Turkey is discussed. The competence of the simple decisions that are made because of the assorted reasons in our country are examined. In conclusion, to practice the modern design with its all capacity in Turkey, the necessary organizations are determined.
