İlk çağlardan itibaren, insanın yaşam biçimi, sosyal, kültürel, teknolojik ve bilimsel gelişmelere paralel olarak sürekli bir değişim içindedir. Bu değişimlerin konut üretim sürecine yansıması; farklı yaşam alan ve ideallerinin geliştirilmesi ile yeni beklentilerin ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuş ve geleceğin yaşam alanlarını şekillendiren yeni önerileri de beraberinde getirmiştir.Çalışmada, ilkel toplumlardan günümüze kadar, her dönem ve kültürün kendi içerisinde, konutta gelecek vizyonu olarak değerlendirdiği konut örnekleri ve geçmişte tasarlanmış ilerici kent gelişim projeleri incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, gelecek konut vizyonlarına, öncü yaklaşımlar getiren, farklı yaşam idealleri, teknolojik gelişmelerle beraber tarihsel süreç içinde değerlendirilerek, örnekler üzerinden araştırılmıştır.Çalışmanın son bölümünde, yakın geçmiş ve günümüz beklentileri kapsamında geleceğe vizyon veren yerleşim konseptleri, ilerici konut ve yerleşim önerileri, kavramsal yaklaşım ve örneklerle incelenmiştir. Öneri kent ve konut yerleşimleri ve uygulamalarıyla, son bölümde ele alınan örnekler karşılaştırıldığında, ana kararlar bağlamında benzerlik gösterdiği ve gelecekteki konut alanlarının kalitesi açısından model teşkil ettiği görülmektedir.
As from the earliest societies, along with the advances in sociology, technology and science, the life pattern of a man has permanently changed. These changes that affect the process of housing manufacture reveal different type of life models and living environments by the new prospects. These prospects bring out the new proposals that will give shape to the living environments of the future.In this study, different kind of individual housing samples, which was rated as future visions in each period and culture and the progressive-minded urban development projects have been investigated from primitive society until contemporary life. In this context, different life models, which obtain the avant-gardist approach to the housing visions, have been evaluated in historical progress within the technological development and this implication was transmitted through innovative examples.On the summary part, future visionary settlement concepts, avant-gardist individual housing design proposals have been analyzed within the context of recently and presently prospects through the conceptual understanding and illustrations. As a result, the past realized individual housing designs and progressive-minded urban development projects have been compared against the contemporary approaches and it was pointed out, that the main design purposes are seriously similar and the past investigations give face to the future as a high standard model in common.
