Üniversitelerde gençleri akademik başarıya taşıyacak olan eğitim programlarının yanında üniversite kampuslarında gerçekleştirilecek olan Rekreasyon Programları gençlerin, üniversite personelinin, ailelerin sosyal yaşam dengesini kurmasına olanak tanır. Daha sağlıklı, ders ve sınav stresinden arınmış, insan ilişkilerinde başarılı, kendini yenileyerek geleceğe daha güvenle bakan gençlerin yetişmesine katkı sağlar. Araştırma Türkiye'deki üniversitelerde Kampus Rekreasyonu'nun mevcut durumunu tespit etmek ve geliştirilebilir düzeyde bir Kampus Rekreasyon Modellemesi'ni ortaya koymak amacını taşımaktadır. Türkiye'deki üniversitelerde gençlerin sosyal, kültürel, sportif etkinlikleri ile ilgili sorumluluk yasal olarak Sağlık Kültür ve Spor Daire Başkanlıkları'na verilmiştir. Uygulanan anketler daire başkanları ya da şube müdürlerine gönderilmiştir. Anket yöntemi ile rekreatif etkinlikler ile ilgili planlama, katılım, tesis, bütçeler, insan kaynakları konularında veriler elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma, üniversite kampuslarında öğrenci yurtları ve personel lojmanları eksikliğini ortaya koyarken, rekreasyon tesislerinin olmayışı, yetersizliği ve ortak kullanım şartlarının etkinlikleri kısıtladığı tespit edilmiştir. Bütçe ve personel gibi yetersizlikler nedeniyle tesislerin işletmesi ve sunulan hizmetler yeterli düzeyde değildir. Katılım oranı, profesyonel yönetim yapısı ve spor-rekreasyon felsefesi eksikliği yüzünden, çok düşük seviyelerde kalmaktadır. Rekreatif etkinliklere ayrılan bütçeler, dünya ortalamalarının çok altında kalmakla birlikte yönetim ve yapısal nedenlerden dolayı etkinlikler, kendi maliyet ve masraflarını karşılayabilmekten de uzaktır. SKSD Başkanlıklarının kampustaki rekreatif etkinlikler konusunda uzman personel eksiği olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bununla birlikte, SKSD Başkanlığı yöneticileri kampus rekreasyon etkinliklerini düzenleyecek bir ?Kampus Rekreasyon Birimi? oluşturulmasına kesin destek vermişlerdir. Bu amaçla üniversitelerde Kampus Rekreasyon Birimleri oluşturulmalı, üniversite mensuplarının hayatını zenginleştirecek rekreasyon etkinliklerinin profesyonel biçimde yapılması sağlanmalıdır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Kampus Rekreasyonu, Rekreasyon, Serbest Zaman, Üniversite, Spor Yönetim
Along with educational programmes ensuring a successful academic life for the young people, recreation programmes at universities enables young people, university staff and their families with the opportunity to balance their social life. These services programs help young people lighten the stress of courses and exams, be more healthy, successful in human relations and become, confident about the future. In this study it is aimed to investigate the current stage of the campus recreation at the universities in Turkey and offer more advance campus recreation modeling. In Turkey, ?Directorates of Health, Culture and Sports? institution undertake the legal responsibility of the social, cultural and sports activities of the youth in the universities. The questionnaires in this study were directed to the heads of these directorates. Through the method of these questionnaires it?s aimed to collect data about planning of recreational activities, participation in them and the usage of facilities, budgets and human resources. According to the results, it is revealed that while there is a lack of student dormitory and staff boarding, the activities are restricted due to common usage conditions and the insufficiency or absence of recreation facilities. Apart from the facilities management and services which are not satisfactory because of various reasons such as poor budgeting and lack of staff. Participation in these activities are very limited as the professional management structure is not sufficient and there is a lack of philosophy sports- recreation. The cost of the recreational activities can not be covered due to organizational and executive reasons and additionally the budgets for these organizations are much lower than the world average. Another result is that there is a huge gap of experienced staff under the Health, Culture and Sports Directorates to run the activities at campuses. However, the survey showed that the directors have supported the establishment of campus recreation units which will improve the organization of campus recreation activities. There fore, campus recreation units should be established at universities and recreation activities that will enrich the lives of students and staff should be organized professionally.Key words: Campus Recreation, Recreation, Free Time, University, Management
