Bu tez çalışmasında, ?Geleceğin Konutu? hem konut mimarlığının geçmişteki ve günümüzdeki durumunun bir göstergesi, hem de gelecekteki yöneliminin habercisi olarak ele alınmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında ?geleceğin konutu?nun tasarlanmasında ortaya çıkan kavramlara ve bu kavramların değişimlerine değinilmektedir. Ütopyalardan başlayarak tarihsel süreç ve bu süreçte etkili olan konut tasarım kavramları üzerinde durulmakta, günümüzde konut tasarımının mevcut durumunun değerlendirilmesi üzerinden gelecek öngörülerine yer verilmektedir. Tez kapsamında ?geleceğin konutu?nun mimari gelişiminin incelenmesi, örnekler üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Konutun çok yönlü yapısı, konut tasarımında mevcut çevresel, teknolojik ve sosyal koşullar tarafından belirlenen pek çok tasarım kavramının rol oynamasını gerektirmiştir. Yapılan literatür araştırması sonucunda ?geleceğin konutu? tasarımının süreç içinde farklı tasarım kavramları doğrultusunda şekillendiği, günümüzde ise sürdürülebilirlik, esneklik ve hareketlilik kavramlarının 21. yüzyıl "geleceğin konutu? tasarımlarında temel yaklaşımları oluşturduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. In this thesis study, ?The House of Future? is considered both as an indicator of the current state and a precursor of its future direction for the house architecture. In the scope of this project, the concepts that effect the design of ?the house of the future? are mentioned. Beginning from the utopias, historical course of the house design and the related concepts are examined and forecasts are made from the evaluation of the current status. In the scope of this thesis study, development of the house of the future?s architecture is examined through the examples. The versatile structure of the subject meant that many factors determined by environmental, technological and social conditions play a role. The literature search showed that the design of the house of future were shaped with different concepts in the history and today the fundamental concepts for the 21st century in the field are sustainability, flexibility and mobility.
