Bilişim Sistemleri Tez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Neşe Yalabık Temmuz 2001, 154 sayfa Bu tez, ticari web tabanlı ders yönetim araçlarını analiz edip onları ODTÜ Enformatik Enstitüsü tarafından geliştirilen Net-Class ile karşılaştırır ve Net- Class hakkında detaylı bilgi sunar. Web tabanlı eğitim pedagojik açıdan incelenmiş, öğretmen ve öğrencinin bakış açılarından etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Bu tür eğitimin verimliliği arttırabilecek öğrenme metodları ve Net-Class' in çözümleri sunulmuştur. Türk kullanıcıların Net-Class' dan faydalanmalarını sağlamak amacıyla bu aracın Türkçe versiyonu bu tezin bir parçası olarak geliştirilmiştir.
ABSTRACT A COMPARISON OF WEB BASED COURSE MANAGEMENT TOOLS WITH NET-CLASS Yılmaz, Bilal M.S., Information Systems Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Neşe Yalabık July 2001, 154 pages This thesis analyzes the commercial web based course management tools, compares them with the Net-Class, a Web based education (WBE) tool developed previously in METU Informatics Institute, and presents detailed information about Net-Class. WBE is examined from the point of pedagogy and the effects are considered from the point of views of both instructor and student. The learning methods and Net-Class solutions that might increase the efficiency of this type of education are presented. To allow the Turkish users to benefit from Net- Class, a Turkish version of it is developed as a part of the thesis.
