Korunmaya muhtaç çocuk; bedensel, zihinsel, ahlaki, psiko-sosyal gelişimi ile kişisel güvenliği tehlikede olan, ihmal veya istismar edilen ya da suç mağduru olan çocuktur. Söz konusu çocuk hakkında 5395 sayılı Çocuk Koruma Kanunu gereğince tedbir kararı alınarak uygun sosyal hizmet modelinden faydalandırılması sağlanmaktadır. Kurum bakımında kalan çocuk aile sıcaklığından, anne-baba rol modellerinden, sağlıklı aile ilişkilerinden mahrum kalmakta dolayısıyla sosyal becerileri öğrenmede ve uygulamada problemler yaşamaktadır. Kurum bakımı altında bulunan çocuğun sosyal çevresi kurumdaki arkadaşları, okuldaki arkadaşları ve görevli personellerle sınırlıdır. Bu sebeple söz konusu çocuk sağlıklı bir sosyalizasyon sürecine dahil olamamaktadır. Araştırmanın amacı, koruma altındaki çocukların aile ortamı ve sosyal hayatla bütünleşik bir şekilde yetiştirilmeleri için oluşturulan 'Çocuk Evi' modelinin söz konusu çocukların sosyalizasyonuna etkisinin incelenmesidir. İstanbul İli Küçükçekmece İlçesinde faaliyet gösteren 14 çocuk evinde korunma ve bakım altında bulunan 45 çocuk ve 39 görevli personel ile görüşme tekniği kullanılarak yapılan çalışmada elde edilen veriler bulgular kısmında değerlendirilmiştir. A child in need of protection is a victim of crime, neglected or abused and their physical, psycological, moral, psycho-social advancement and personal safety is in danger. Such child is given the benefit of the appropraite service model according to the Child Protection Law No. 5395. The children staying at the institutiton child houses lack family warmth, parent role modelling, and healthy familty relations thus having problems with learning the social skills and applying them. The social envioronment of a child staying in children's home is limited to their friends at the children's home, friends at school, and the staff at the children's home. This is why these children cannot participate in a healty socilasiation process. The aim of the research is to examine the effects of the 'Children's Home' model on the children under protection which were created to give the children a family environment and integration with the social life. Data collection technique is interviews with 45 children and 39 staff staying at 14 different child houses in Küçükçekmece province of Istanbul. The data collected is evaluated in the findings chapter. A general overview and suggestions are put forward in the chapter results and suggestions.
