Bu doktora tezi devletin kurum bakım türlerinden birisi olan çocuk evlerinde bakım personellerinin değer aktarımında çocuklar üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılan bir durum çalışmasıdır. Durum çalışması, bir olayın araştırmaya uygun gelebilecek bir yöntemle ayrıntılı bir biçimde incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmada öncelikle değer kavramı, kaynağı ve oluşumu ile değer kültür ilişkisi ortaya konulmuştur. Bu doğrultuda kültürel değer kuramları incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın kuramsal çerçevesi için Schwartz'ın Temel Değerler Kuramından yararlanılmıştır. Buna göre ortaya konulan değer tipleri, bireysel farklılıklar ve kültürel değerler üzerinde durulmuştur. Kurum bakım türlerinden olan çocuk evlerinde, çocukların bakımlarından sorumlu olan bakım personelleri bulunmaktadır. Her bir çocuk evinde vardiya usulü çalışan üç bakım personeli bulunmaktadır. Çocuk evlerinde kalan çocuklara değer aktarımında bakım personellerinin belirgin bir etkisi vardır. Araştırmanın durumu değerlerin aktarımı olgusu çerçevesinde ele alınmaktadır. Durumu sınırlandıran ise araştırmanın, çocuk evlerindeki bakım personelinin koruma bakım altındaki çocuklara değer aktarımındaki etkisine odaklanmasıdır. Bu kapsamda araştırmanın çalışma grubu, çocuk evlerinde kalan 7 – 12 yaş arasındaki çocuklar ve sözü edilen bu evlerde çalışan ve çocukların bakım ve gelişiminden sorumlu olan bakım personellerinden oluşmaktadır. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 16 bakım personeli ve 24 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın analizi nitel çalışmalarda kullanılan betimsel ve içerik analiz yöntemleriyle yapılmıştır. Değerin ne olduğu ve nasıl oluştuğu kavramsal olarak ortaya konulduktan sonra bakım personelleri ve çocuklar ile yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda bakım personellerinin değer algısı ve değer aktarımındaki rolü incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre değer aktarımında bakım personellerinin belirgin bir rolü olduğu ve bu doğrultuda gerek bakım personelleri arasında gerekse kurum içerisinde genel olarak benzer yaklaşımlar olduğu yönündedir.
This doctoral thesis is a case study aiming to reveal the effect of value transfer of care staff on the children in childrens's house that care institutions of state. A case study is a detailed investigation of an event within an appropriate method. In this study, first of all, the concept of value and the formation and the source of relationship between value and culture are revealed. In this direction, cultural value theories are examined. In this context, Schwartz's Theory of Fundamental Values was used for the theoretical framework of the study. According to this, the types of values, individual differences and cultural values are emphasized. There is maintenance staff responsible for the care of children in childrens's house that care institutions. There are three persons in maintenance staff working shifts in each children's house. Maintenance staff has a significant impact on the transfer of value to children staying in childrens's houses. The case of this research is handled in the context of the transfer of values. The limitation of the case is that the research focuses on the impact of maintenance staff in children's houses on the transfer of value to children under protection. In this context, the study group of this research consisted of children between 7 - 12 years of age in the children's houses and the maintenance staff who were working in these houses and responsible for the care and development of the children. In this context, the study group consisted of 16 maintenance staff and 24 children. The analysis of the research was done by using descriptive and content analysis methods used in qualitative studies. After the conceptual explanation of what value is and how it is formed, the role of maintenance staff in value perception and value transfer is examined as a result of interviews with maintenance staff and children. According to the results of the study, it is stated that the maintenance staff have a significant role in the value transfer, and accordingly, there are similar approaches in general among the maintenance staff and in the institution.
