Bu çalışmanın kapsamı, Havran Kentsel Sit Alanında, geleneksel kent dokusunda yer alan yapıların tarihi ve mimari açıdan incelenerek mevcut durumlarının tespiti, belgelenmesi ile geçirdikleri değişim ve bozulmalar doğrultusunda koruma yaklaşımlarının belirlenmesidir. "Havran Kentsel Sit Alanı ve Dumlupınar Caddesi Koruma Önerisi " adını taşıyan bu tez çalışmasında Havran Kentsel Sit Alanı ve Dumlupınar Caddesi'nin günümüzdeki durumları incelenmiş, koruma sorunları ortaya konmuş ve bu sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir. Havran , tarihi, coğrafyası, iklim ve topografya bilgileri ve sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik durumları ile tanıtılmıştır. Çalışma alanının günümüzdeki fiziksel yapısını ortaya koyan analizler ve değerlendirmeleri yapılarak geleneksel kent dokusunun ayrıntılı olarak belgelenmesi sağlanmıştır. Genel mimari özellikler; yapı malzemeleri, plan ve cephe tipleri ele alınmıştır. Havran Kentsel Sit Alanı , yapısal ve çevresel ölçekte karşılaşılan sorunları değerlendirilmiştir. Tüm çalışma alanı içerisinde özgünlük ve mevcut sorunlar bakımından ilgi çeken bölge olan Dumlupınar Caddesi'ne ait fiziksel durum analizleri, sosyal ve fiziksel yapıdaki değişimler ile bunların plan ve cepheye yansımaları incelenmiştir. Sağlıklaştırma önerileri, çevresel ve yapısal ölçekte ele alınmıştır. Getirilen önerilerin uluslararası tarihi çevre koruma ilkeleri doğrultusunda, kent dokusuna uyumlu ve uygulanabilir olması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma süresince, alan çalışması ile yapılan gözlemler sonucu çıkarılan analiz paftaları; rölöve ve yerinde tespit çalışmaları, literatürden elde edilen bilgi ve belgeler, eski ve yeni fotoğraflar, envanter fişleri ve elde edilen tüm veriler doğrultusunda değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Havran'ın kültür varlığına dikkat çekmek, bilimsel çalışmalara temel oluşturmak, var olan ve oluşabilecek tahribatı belirlemek ve önlenebilmesi için öneriler getirerek, belge ve bilgileri bir arada sunmaktır.

All the current problems in the study area in terms of originality and region of interest analysis of the physical state of Dumlupınar Street, and their social and physical changes in the structure plan and the facade reflections were investigated. Rehabilitation proposals, environmental and structural scale are discussed. Join the recommendations of international environmental protection principles, and can be applied is intended to be compatible with the urban fabric. During the study, field work, analysis of observations made with the inferred layouts, site survey and assessment studies, information and documents obtained from the literature, both old and new photos, inventory receipts and assessments have been made in accordance with all data obtained.
