Bu çalışmada mimarlığın disiplinlerarası yapısının gücü ve önemi vurgulanmış, mimarlık ve sinema arasındaki etkileşim her iki disiplinin ortak çalışma alanı olan mekan üzerinden irdelenmiştir. Bu ilişki doğrultusunda mimarlık disiplininin bir sinema türü olan bilim kurgu sineması ile olan etkileşimine odaklanılmıştır. Tez çalışmasının amacı, mimarlık disiplininin bilim kurgu sinemasıyla kurduğu bu ilişkinin potansiyelinin, ev kavramı üzerinden irdelenmesi olmuştur. Bu kapsamda, bireyin öznel yaşam mekanı olan "ev" ile zihinsel "evsizlik" olgusu tartışmanın asıl nesnelerini oluşturur. Bu doğrultuda örneklem, Bıçak Sırtı (Blade Runner) ve Azınlık Raporu (Minority Report) filmleri üzerinden yapılmıştır. Evin oluşması için kavramsal çerçevede ortaya konan boyutların gerekliliği ile bu boyutların alt açılımlarının eksikliği halinde evin oluşamaması durumu, filmler üzerinden okunarak doğrulanmıştır.
In this study, the strength and the importance of the interdisciplinary nature of architecture has been highligted and the interaction between architecture and cinema has been examined in terms of "space" which is a common area of these two disciplines. In accordance with this relationship it has been focused on the interaction between architecture and one of the genres of the cinema "science fiction". The aim of the thesis study has been the examination of the potential of this relationship between architecture discipline and science fiction cinema, through the concept of "home". In this context, "home" as a subjective living place of person and "homelesness" as a phenomenon constitutes the actual object of the discussion. For this discussion, the movies Blade Runner and Minority Report is addressed for sampling. The necessity of the dimensions that is presented for the formation of "home" in a conceptual framework and the situation of nonformation of "home" in case of the lack of sub-expansions of these dimensions have been confirmed by way of reading the movies.
