Bu çalışmada 1993-2011 yılları arasında İSO ilk 500 büyük sanayi kuruluşu incelenmiştir. Çalışmada İSO ilk 500 büyük sanayi kuruluşunun, İSO tarafından açıklanan şirketlerin ekonomik göstergelerini, imalat sanayi alt sektörlerine, kamu, özel ve yabancı sermaye paylarına göre gruplandırılarak firmaların durumu ve ekonomik performans sonuçları karşılaştırılmıştır. İstanbul Sanayi Odası?nın ?Türkiye?nin birinci 500 büyük sanayi kuruluşu? adlı çalışmasından yararlanılmıştır. Veri setini 1993 ve 2011 yılları arasında İSO?nun anket yoluyla firmalardan toplayarak yayınladığı üretimden satışlar, satış hasılatı, ihracat, varlıklar toplamı, özsermaye, vergi öncesi dönem karı ve zararı, istihdam, yerli ? yabancı sermaye payı ve brüt katma değer büyüklükleri oluşturmuştur. Çalışma sonucuyla beraber İSO 500 firmalarının 1993 ?2011 dönemleri arasında dönüşüm süreci içindeki Türkiye ekonomisindeki yeri araştırılmıştır. İSO 500 firmalarının Türkiye Ekonomisi?nde milli gelire ve ihracata yaptığı katkılar göz önüne alınırsa İSO 500 firmalarının yıllar içindeki ekonomik ve finansal performansının gelişimi Türkiye ekonomisindeki gelişmeleri de gözlemleyebilmemiz açısından bir referans oluşturacaktır. İSO 500 firmalarının sektörlere göre dağılımı ve sektörlerin Türkiye ekonomisindeki yerinin incelenmesiyle Türkiye?nin uluslararası ekonomide avantajlı ve desteğe ihtiyacı olan sektörlerinin de tespitinde katkı sağlayacaktır.
In this study, the companies which are in İSO top 500 list between 1993 and 2009 years are analysed. The top 500 companies has been classified such as manufacturing industry subsectors, public, private and foreign capital shares in respect of companies? results which are announced by İSO. In addition firms? results and economical performance has been compared. In this study, also the book which is issued by İstanbul Chamber Of İndustry and called ?The Biggest Industrial Instution? has been used. Data set has been taken from a survey which was done by İSO between 1993-2011 years and consist of ; sales, sales revenue, export, assets total, equity capital, pre-tax profit-loss, employment, local-foreign capital share and gross added value. By the study results, it has been investigated the importance of İSO 500 firms in Turkey?s economic transformation period between 1993 and 2011 years. If we consider İSO 500 firms? contributions in Turkey?s economy such as national income and export, the economical and financial development of İSO 500 firms? will be a reference to observe Turkey?s economical devolpment over years. Analysis by the sector and the importance of those sectors in Turkey?s economy of İSO 500 firms? will contribute to determination of Turkey?s advantage in international economy and the sectors which needs support.
