Bu tez çalışmasında, 1835?1837 (H.1251?1252) yıllarına ait " 47 Numaralı Tokat Şer`iye Sicil Defteri " nin transkripsiyonu yapılarak, defterde yer alan belgeler doğrultusunda söz konusu yıllarda Tokat'ın idari ve sosyo-ekonomik yapısı ele alınmıştır.Çalışmamız dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Osmanlı yargı sistemi ve işleyişi kısaca özetlenmiştir. Osmanlı mahkemeleri hakkında genel bilgi, mahkeme görevlileri, şer`iye sicillerinin tanımı ve kapsamı hakkında açıklamalara yer verilmiş; ardından sicillerin günümüzdeki konumu ve sicillerle ilgili yapılan çalışmalar ele alınmıştır.İkinci bölümde, inceleme konusu olan 47 Numaralı Tokat Şer`iye Sicil Defteri'nde bulunan belgelerin tasnifi yapılarak belgeler hakkında genel bilgiler verilmiştir.Üçüncü bölümde transkripsiyonu yapılan belgeler ışığında 1835- 1837 yılları arasında Tokat'ın idari, sosyal ve ekonomik yapısı üzerinde durulmuştur.Dördüncü ve son bölümde ise 47 Numaralı Tokat Şer`iye Sicili'nin transkripsiyonlu metnine ve deftere dayanılarak hazırlanan sözlük ilave edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Mahkeme, Kadı, ġer῾iye Sicili, Tokat
This thesis aims to transcribe ``The Court Register Number 47 of Tokat?? that belongs to the years 1835?1837 (Hegira 1250?1252) and to evaluate Tokat?s social and economical structure in the light of the documents in the register.Our work consists of four main parts. In the first part, it has been given general information on the definition and content of court registers, the Ottoman judicial system, court and court officials in Ottoman Empire, and then the present-day situation of court registers and the studies on court registers have been discussed.In the second part, the documents that constitute ``the Court Register Number 47 of Tokat?? are classified and it is given information on these records.In the third part, administrative, social and economic structures of Tokat in the years of 1835 and 1837 are determined with the help of the documents transcribed before.In the final part, the transcribed version of the text of ``Court Register Number 47 of Tokat?? is found. At the end of this part a small dictionary is added according to the register.Key Words: Court, Judge, Court Register, Tokat.
