69 ÖZET 19. yüzyıl Batıda ihtilaller yüzyılıdır. İhtilallerin etkisiyle Almanya ve İtalya siyasi birliklerini kurmuştur. Aynı yüzyıl içinde Osmanlı Devleti'nde bir çok yenilik hareketi yapılmasına rağmen, başarılı olunamamış ve hızla çöküşe doğru yaklaşılmıştır. 1919'larda Anadolu'da Atatürk'ün önderliğinde yeni bir devlet kurma yolunda adımlar atılmış ve tamamen yeni ilkelere dayalı, yeni bir Cumhuriyet rejimi kurulmuştur. Cumhuriyetin ilanından çok partili hayata geçişe kadar Batıdaki gelişmelerden etkilenilmiş fakat bu etki 1938-1946 döneminde daha da fazla olmuştur. Çünkü 1923-1938 arası dönemde Atatürk devrimleriyle demokrasiye geçiş sürecini oluşturmuştur. Bu süreç içinde uygulanan başarılı politika ile ülke hem II. Dünya Savaşından uzak tutulmuş, hem de çok partili hayata sarsıntısız geçiş yapılmıştır.
70 SUMMARY The European nations made great changes at their economical and social fields during 19. Century. Then they had obtained succesful results at these fields Italian and Germany had completed their social and political integrity with influence of these revolutions. The Ottoman Empire had not achieved any progress at social and economical fields in spite of the fact the Ottoman Empire made many reforms. This caused death of the Ottoman Empire. This Republic of Turkey was established by Mustafa Kemal and his friends. For centuries the law, the administration of justice, education and the government in the Republic of Turkey had been under the influence of Turkish Assembly. The developments in the western countries had affected the Republic of Turkey had been affected dominantly between 1938 and 1946 years. The Rebuplic of Turkey had not participated in the Second World War by means of succesful political decision. Therefore the Rebuplic of Turkey had not blocked the road towards democracy.
