?Anastasis: Ortodoks ve Batı İkonografisi'nde Betimleniş Biçimleri? adlı bu tez çalışmasında tarihsel, toplumsal, kültürel ve coğrafi arka planlar göz önünde tutularak, İncil'de yer almayan ?İsa'nın Yeraltına İnişi (Anastasis)? öyküsünün Ortodoks ve Batı İkonografisi'nde nasıl betimlendiği, ikonografik bir yöntemle incelenmiştir. Özellikle tarihsel süreç içerisinde bu betimleme biçimi veya biçimlerinin nasıl geliştiği ve çeşitlendiği, nedenler ve sonuçlar ile birlikte ele alınmış, bu betimleme farklılıkları üzerinden bir sınıflama yapılmaya çalışılmıştır
Searching through iconographic methods, the manner of the story of the ?Descent into Limbo (Anastasis)? which does not contained in the Bible, will be analyzed in terms of Orthodox and Western iconography by taking the historical, cultural and geographical backgrounds into consideration in this master thesis of which title is ?Anastasis: Portraying Form of the Iconography in the Orthodox and Western Iconography?. The process of progressing and diversifying of these portraying forms will be particularly analyzed in terms of cause effect relationship and afterwards, a categorization will be attempted in accordance with these portraying diversifying.
