?1980 Sonrasında Türk Toplumunun Yazılı Basın Yoluyla Siyasi Yaşama Dair Bilgilendirilme Süreci? isimli bu çalışmada, dünyada kapitalizmin bir uzantısı olarak ortaya çıkan liberal ekonomik yaklaşımların girdabına Türkiye'nin de kapılmasıyla ve bununla bağlantılı değişen ekonomik ve siyasi ortamda yeniden şekillenen Türk yazılı basınının şekil ve içerik olarak dönüşümü konu edinilmiştir. Söz konusu dönüşümün somut olarak ortaya konulabilmesi için 1980-2007 yılları arasında yayında olan Hürriyet, Cumhuriyet ve Türkiye gazeteleri üzerinde araştırma gerçekleştirilmiş, 1980 sonrasında değişen ekonomik yapıyla birlikte Türk yazılı basınının halkı siyasi yaşama dair bilgilendirme süreci ve özellikle de `ciddi haber' (hard news) olarak nitelenen siyasi ve siyasi boyutta yayınlanan ekonomik ve toplumsal haberlerin magazinel öğelerle 1980'den bugüne ne surette takviye edildiği saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Amacımız, 1980-2007 yılları arasında Türk yazılı basınının yapısında meydana gelen değişiklikler sonrasında yazılı basınımızda siyasi ve siyasi boyutta toplumsal ve ekonomik haberlerin sunumunun ne şekilde gerçekleştiğini saptamaktır. Basının, demokratik toplumlarda halkın siyasi ve bununla bağlantılı toplumsal ve ekonomik yaşama dair bilgilenmede ilk başvuru kaynağı olarak düşünüldüğünde, 1980 askeri darbesi sonrası oluşan yeni sosyo-ekonomik ve siyasi ortamın basın üzerindeki etkileri özetlendikten sonra, dünyada ve bununla ilintili olarak Türkiye'de yaşanan liberal ekonomik değişim ve dönüşüm sürecinin, Türk yazılı basını üzerindeki etkilerine değinilecektir. Etkiler, yukarıda sözü edilen araştırmayla ortaya konulmaya çalışıldıktan sonra bu araştırmanın bir sağlaması niteliğini taşıdığını düşündüğümüz bir saha araştırmasıyla dönüşümün hedef kitle tarafından nasıl değerlendirildiği, söz konusu magazinel çizgiye kayışın, hedef kitle tarafından ne surette algılandığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.
In this study titled "The Process of Informing Turkish Society about Political Life Via Press after 1980", the transformation of Turkish press in terms of form and content which was reshaped in the changing economic and political environment brought about when Turkey got caught in the vortex of liberal economic approaches around the world caused by capitalism. In order to demonstrate this transformation concretely, a research has been conducted on Hürriyet, Cumhuriyet and Türkiye newspapers which were published between the years 1980 and 2007 and it has been attempted to determine the information process of people about political life by the Turkish press with the changing economic structure after 1980 and especially in what way the political and economic and social news having a political dimension which are identified as `hard news? are supported with magazine-based elements since 1980. Our aim is to establish how the social and economy news were presented in the political aspect in our press after the changes that happened to the structure of Turkish press between 1980 and 2007. Taking into consideration that press is the first reference source in democratic societies for people to be informed about political, social and economic issues, the effects of the liberal economic change and transformation process in the world and in Turkey on Turkish press will be dealt with after the effects of the new socio-economic and political atmosphere which appeared after the 1980 military coup on press will be abstracted. After the effects will be stated by means of the research mentioned above, it is attempted to determine how the transformation was perceived by the target audience and in what way the sliding to the magazine-based trend was perceived by the target audience with a field study that we think has the quality of confirmation of this research.
