ÖZET Bu çalışmada amaç,Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türk Şiiri'nde Yunan ve Latin Mitologyası'mn esinlerine ilişkin bir bakış açısı sunmaktır.Bu çalışmayı gerektiren problem, dönemin şiirinde mitologyadan esinlenen yapıtlar bulunmasına karşın,bu alanda kapsamlı incelemeler yapılmamış olmasıdır. Çalışma kapsamına, 1923-1973 dönemi şairleri alınmışlardır. Bu dönem sonrasındaki bazı yapıtlar ise, ilk yapıtlarını bu dönemde yayımlamış şairlere ait oldukları için ele alınmışlardır. I. bölümde kuramsal bir çerçeve sunulmuştur: Mitos un,ritüele eşlik eden bir anlatım biçimi olarak, ilkel insana özgü bir gerçekliği ifade ettiği; mitologyanın, doğa'nın imgelem içinde biçimlendirilmesinden doğduğu ve sanat anlamında bir kurmaca olmadığı anlatılmıştır. "Mythos-Epos-Logos" ilişkileri irdelenerek, mitosun edebiyat ürünlerine dönüşmesi sürecine değinilmiş; mitologyanın kültürel bir zemin ve kaynak olarak, sanat açısından önemi tartışılmıştır. Yunan ve Latin mitologyasını aktaran sanat yapıtlarından hareketle, bu mitologya, ana hatlarıyla tanıtılmıştır. Bölümün sonunda,şiirin mitosla ilişkisi, mitostan yararlanma ve bu konudaki bazı yaklaşımlar üzerinde durulmuştur. İL bölümde, Yunan-Latin sanatının, Türkiye'nin kültürel ortamında yansımalar bulmasında etken olan "Batılılaşma" olgusu ile çeviri etkinlikleri; kültür ve edebiyat alanlarındaki bazı girişimler, tartışmalar üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu bağlamda,önce Tanzimat'tan Cumhuriyet' e uzanan süreç ele alınmış; bir edebiyat girişimi olan "Nev-Yunanilik" üzerinde durulmuştur. Daha sonra,Cumhuriyet ideolojisi ile Anadolu'nun eski uygarlıklarını sahiplenme anlayışının çeşitli yansımalarını inceleyen bir giriş yapılarak, Cumhuriyet dönemi ele alınmış; hümanizma tartışmaları, çeviri etkinliği, "Mavi Hümanizma" girişimi, edebiyat ortamındaki tartışmalar,çeviriler ve yerli yapıtlar üzerinde durulmuştur. 108III. bölümde, Cumhuriyet dönemi şiirine ilişkin kısa bir giriş yapılarak, dönemin şiirindeki mitolojik öğeler, Yunan ve Latin mitologyasından esinlenen şairler ve bazı yapıtlardan örnekler üzerinde durulmuştur. Yapılan inceleme ile, bu mitologyadan esinler taşıyan şiirlerin en yetkin örneklerinin özellikle 1950 sonrasında verildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. 109
SUMMARY The objective of this study is to present a point of view related to the works of Greek & Latin mythology that appeared in Turkish poetry of the Republic period The problem that has led to this study is because any comprehensive research has not been done, though the works inspired by the mythology are appeared in Turkish poetry of this time. This study includes the poets who studied between 1923-1973. But some works following period have been studied as they belonged to the poets who published their first works between the period of 1923-1973. In the first chapter a theoretical view is given : Myth as a way of expression accompanies with ritual and expresses a reality that is peculiar to the primitive man. It has been understood that mythology, in respect of art is not a fable, but it was born as a result of nature shaped in imagination. By examining the relationship between "Mythos-Epos-Logos", the transformation prosses of myth to the products of literature is studied; and the importence of mythology as being a cultural basis and source is discussed in respect of art By considering the works which gives the mythology of Greek & Latin is introduced in general in respect of works of art In the end of this chapter, the relationship between myth and poetry, getting benefit from myth and some approaches about this subject are discussed. In the Second Chapter, the effectiveness of occidentism and translations that caused the Turkish literature to have been affected by the art of Greek & Latin is studied and also some attempts made in the area of culture and literature are discussed. In this respect, the process extending from the period of "Tanzimat" to the Republic; and "Nev-Yunanilik" as a contribution to the literature is implied.Second.ly, the period of Republic is examined through an introduction which studies the reflections of the conception in respect of posessing the ancient civilizations of Anatolia with the idea of republicanism. The discussions on humanism, effectiveness of the translation, an attempt to the "Mavi Hümanizma", the discussions made for the literature and the local works are discussed here as well 110In the third chapter, the mythological elements of this period of poetry, the poets who are inspired by the Greek & Latin mythology and some examples of works are explained through short introduction to the poetry of Republic period. With this study, it has been resulted that the most perfectionist works inspired by the mythology were produced after the year of 1950. Ill
