Bu çalışmada Sosyal Bilgilerde Tarih diyagramlarının öğrenci başarısına etkisinidiyagramların kullanım türlerine göre belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.Araştırma Zonguldak ilinde belirlenen 3 ilköğretim okulunda 2008-2009 öğretimyılında yapılmış betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın evreni Zonguldak ilindekiilköğretim okullarıdır. Örneklemi ise Zonguldak ilinde sistematik olarak belirlenen 3ilköğretim okulundan random (tesadüf) yöntemiyle seçilen 6. sınıf öğrencileri (60 kişi)oluşturmuştur.Araştırmacı tarafından 6. sınıflar için, incelenen konu ile ilgili 25 sorudan oluşanbir anket hazırlanmıştır. Bu anket soruları geleneksel yöntemle ders işlenen 3 okulauygulanmıştır. Çalışma için ayrıca araştırma konusunu içeren diyagramlar hazırlanmıştır.Bu diyagramlar kullanım türlerine göre daha önce geleneksel yöntemin uygulandığı 3okulda ayrı ayrı tekniklerle uygulanmıştır. Diyagramların ders öğretimindekullanılmasından sonra, hazırlanan anket soruları öğrencilere tekrar uygulanmıştır.Verilerin analizinde ?SPSS 15? (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) Paket Programıkullanılarak frekans (f) ve yüzde (%) hesaplamaları yapılmıştır.Bu çalışmada diyagramların kullanım türlerinin öğrencilerin ders başarısınaetkisi ile ilgili önemli sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Diyagramların kullanım türleri ile ilgili 1.tekniğin % 12, 2. tekniğin % 16, 3. tekniğin ise % 21 oranında öğrenci başarısınıarttırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Genel olarak diyagramların ders içerisinde kullanılmasınınöğrenci başarısını % 16.5 arttırdığı görülmüştür.
In this study it is aimed to determine the effect of History Diagrams to thestudents? achievements in Social Studies and determine the diagrams? kinds according totheir usage.The research is a descriptive definition which was made in Zonguldak, in 2008-2009 education term, in 3 schools ,which had been determined before. The universe ofthe research is the 3 schools in Zonguldak. 6th grade students(60 students) who werechosen randomly from three schools which had been determined systematically inZonguldak constitued the sample.An achievement test which has got 25 questions about the resarched subject wasprepared by the researcher. The achievement test was applied in 3 schools teaching withtraditional methods. Also some diagrams including the resarched subject were preparedfor the research. According to kinds of their usage, these diagrams had been applied withseperately techniques in three schools in which traditional techniques used. After thediagrams? being used in teaching, the questions of the prepared achievement test wereapplied to the students again.In the analysis of the datas frequency and percentagecountings were done by using software SPSS 15 (Statistical Package for Social Science)In this study we reached important results about the effects of the diagrams?kinds of usage on students? success in learning.About the kinds of the diagrams? usage itwas determined that the first method had increased the achievement of the students 12,2%, the second method increased 16,3 %, the third method increased 21 %. In general itwas seen that using the diagrams in lessons increased the achievement of the students16,5 %.
