ABSTRACT
In our work, the transcripcion of an anonym work based on the second part of the 17th century is made and in this work, it is seen that the wars which took place between the Ottoman Empire and Austria. The most important one of these wars is the Vienna Siege (1638) and this siege became a turning point in respect of both the Ottoman State and European history. In our study, primarily the Ottoman- Austria wars are mentioned and in the wake of the Vienna Siege, a place is kept for a certain period for the Holy Allience which occured in Europe.
In the first part of the work, the break-off of the Austria-Ottoman contacts and the wars carried out in both sides until the Ottomans reached to Vienna from Edirne are mentioned. Afterwards, the Ottomans' siege is dealth with, and subject is continued with the Holy Allied Wars. These events end with the fact that the Sultan Mehmet IV is unthroned and his brother is throned instead. In the second part of the work, the chronicles of that period are introduced, two of which are compared to the study work. The reason why these two chronicles are taken as basic is that the authors themselves of two works engaged in the battle and they wrote the facts every day.
