Bu çalışmanın amacı zihin teorisi gelişiminin mizah anlayışı üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Örneklemi 3, 4, 5 yaşlarında toplam 90 çocuktan oluşan bu çalışmada, iki yanlış kanı atfı testi ve bir görünüş gerçeklik testi uygulanmıştır. Zihin teorisi ölçümlerinin yanı sıra mizah anlayışı ölçümünde araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Mizah Anlayışı Testi ve dil gelişimi ölçümünde Türkçe İfade Edici Alıcı Dil Testi (TİFALDİ) kullanılmıştır. Yapılan korelasyon analizinde her yaş grubunda görünüş gerçeklik, beklenmedik yer, beklenmedik içerik zihin teorisi görevlerinin ve toplam zihin teorisi, alıcı ve ifade edici dil puanlarının arasında anlamlı bir ilişki saptanırken, bu değişkenler ile fiziksel, niyetsel şakalar, yaş, cinsiyet ve toplam mizah puanları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulgulanmamıştır.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of theory of mind development on sense of humor in 3 to 5 year old children. Two false belief tasks and one appearence-reality task were used to measure theory of mind in this study in which ninety children who are at the age of 3, 4, 5 were participated. Beside the measures of theory of mind; sense of humor test which is developed by the researcher and language test by Turkish Receptive and Expressive Language Test are measured respectively. While a significant relation was determined in correlation analysis in every age group between appearance-reality, location-change, deceptive content which are the tasks of theory of mind and total points of theory of mind, receptive and expressive language points; non-significant relation was discovered between these variables and physical, intentional jokes, age, gender and total humor points.
