Tükenmişlik, insanlarla ilgili mesleklerde çalışan bireylerin içinde bulundukları durumları tanımlamak için sık sık kullandıkları bir durumu ifade etmektedir. İnsanla ilgili çalışan mesleklerden biri olan sağlık hizmetleri, tükenmişlik açısından risk altında bulunan bir meslek grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Sağlık hizmetlerinde duygusal sürecin yoğun olması, sürekli insanlarla iletişim ve etkileşim içinde bulunulması, çalışma hayatının hızlı değişimi, bireysel ve örgütsel beklentilerin artması, hizmet verilen bireylerin birer canlı oluşu gibi nedenlerden dolayı sağlık çalışanı üzerindeki sorumluluk duygusu artmakta buna bağlı olarak sağlık çalışanının tükenmişlik yaşama olasılığı yükselmektedir. Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Merkezi?nde çalışan sağlık personelinin tükenmişlik düzeyini belirlemek, çeşitli değişkenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyini nasıl etkilediğini tespit etmek amacıyla başlatılan bu çalışmanın sonucunda, Denizli Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Merkezi?nde çalışan sağlık çalışanlarında eğitim düzeyi, çalışılan birim, iş yükü, gelir düzeyi ve yapılan görevin tükenmişlik düzeyini etkilediği, lisans ve yüksek lisans mezunu olanlarda, polikliniklerde görev yapanlarda, hizmet yılı 15 yıl ve üzeri olanlarda, iş yükü ağır olanlarda ve gelir düzeyini yetersiz bulan sağlık çalışanlarında duygusal tükenmenin daha fazla yaşandığı görülmektedir. Diş hekimleri hemşirelere göre daha fazla duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşma yaşamaktadır. Hemşire ve diş protez teknisyenlerinde tükenmişlik düşük ve normal boyutlardadır. Çalışma sonucuna göre sağlık çalışanlarında cinsiyet, medeni durum, çocuk sayısı, çalışma saatleri, meslek seçim nedenleri tükenmişlik düzeyini etkilemeyen değişkenlerdir.
The burnout implies a concept frequently used to define individuals? situation in which they are, working on the businesses related with people. The burnout is important since it negatively affects being successful of the working individuals and causes problems in their social life and it decreases the contribution of them to their professions and the environment through reducing the performance of the individuals who realize the burnout. Health services as one of the careers dealing with people, comprises another group of profession being under the risk in terms of the burnout. The probability of living burnout of people working in health sector increases because of the increasing sense of responsibility of the health professionals depending on the factors of having intense emotional process in health services, being in contact and communication with people consistently, rapid change of professional life, increasing individual and organizational expectancies, being living individuals of which have been served. As a result of this study that has been started to identify the burnout level of the health professionals working at the Mouth and Dental Health Center, to determine how some variables affect the burnout level, it has been seen that educational level, worked unit, work load, income level, work done affect the burnout level and who have undergraduate and graduate education, who work on polyclinic, whose years of office are 15 years and more, whose work loads are heavy, and who consider their income level insufficient emotional burnout have been realized more on health professionals working at Denizli Mouth and Dental Health Center. Dentists realize more emotional burnout and insensitivity than nurses. Burnout is low and at normal levels for nurses and technicians of dental prosthesis. Sex, marital status, number of children, working hours, reasons of occupational choice are the variables that does not affect the burnout level.
