Bu çalismamizda, J. ?M. Le Clézio'nun Lullaby adli öyküsü, Greimas'inortaya koydugu göstergebilim yöntemiyle incelenmistir. Bu yöntem dis etkenleri elealmadan, sadece metnin içerisinde kalarak, öykünün anlam boyutunu ortaya koyar veokuyucuyu derin anlama ulasmasini saglar. Edebiyat metinlerinin ve dolayisiylaöykünün yabanci dil egitiminde önemli bir yeri oldugu düsüncesiyle, göstergebilimögrencilere ve ögretmenlere kolaylik saglamaktadir. Böylece, bu yöntem metniasama asama inceleyerek, yabanci dil egitimi için uygulanabilir bir metod düzlemigöstermektedir.
This study focuses upon the short story Lullaby by J. ?M. Le Clézio toanalyze it from the perspective of semiotics of Greimas. This method, without takinginto account the outer components, recognizes only the inner elements and enables toreach to the deep meaning by explaining thoroughly the meaning dimension of thestory. Semiotics is a invalivable source of textual analysis for teachers and studentsin foreign language education wich puts great emphasis on literary texts. The metod,therfore, analyzes the text step by step and suggests itself a method wich easilyapplicable for foreign language education.
