In the Crimean Tatar literature, works in the modern sense of theater began to be seen with the
Tercüman Period. The migrations and the policies implemented by the Russians in the region
were reflected in the language and literature of the Crimean Tatars. With the Tercüman
newspaper, which was published under the leadership of İsmail Bey Gaspıralı, studies were
carried out for the development of language and literature. Yusuf Bolat is one of the important
writers of Crimean Tatar literature. The plays of the author, who made a name for himself in
the Crimean Tatar literature with his stories written in the comedy genre, were followed with
interest by the Crimean Tatar people. Before and after the exile of the Crimean Tatars in 1944,
he made important studies for the development of Crimean Tatar literature. The basis of his
works was the problems of the people, the homeland, the nation and the language. He wrote
these subjects in a sarcastic and witty style. The four plays of the author in his book Toy
Continues are discussed in the context of structure and theme.
