Bu araştırma, ameliyathane hemşirelerinin fiziksel çevreden etkilenme durumlarını incelemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın evrenini ve örneklemini İstanbul il sınırları içinde, Sağlık Bakanlığı'na bağlı iki eğitim ve araştırma hastanesi, bir üniversite hastanesi ve özel bir sağlık grubunun beş hastanesinde çalışan 246 ameliyathane hemşiresi oluşturdu. Araştırmada örneklem seçimine gidilmedi, evrenden ulaşılabilen 233 ameliyathane hemşiresi örneklem olarak kabul edildi. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından literatür desteğinde hazırlanan ve iki bölümden oluşan soru formuyla toplandı. Birinci bölümde 11 sorudan oluşan bireysel bilgi formu, ikinci bölümde ise ameliyathane fiziksel çevresi kapsamında 59 ifadeden oluşan ameliyathane fiziksel çevresi soru formu kullanıldı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi SPSS 16.0 versiyonu ile bilgisayar ortamında gerçekleştirildi. İstatistiksel yöntem olarak; sayı, yüzde, frekans, ortalama, t testi, ANOVA, Cronbach Alfa kat sayısı, korelasyon analizi, regresyon analizi ve açıklayıcı faktör analizi kullanıldı. Elde edilen bulgulara göre hemşirelerin, 20-52 yaş aralığında (ortanca 30), kadın (%91,8), evli (%54,1), lisans mezunu (%38,6), ameliyathane hemşiresi (%88,4), ameliyathanede çalışma süresi 1-29 yıl ( ortanca 4 yıl ), meslekte çalışma süresi 1-30 yıl (ortanca 9 yıl) ve sürekli gündüz olarak çalıştıkları (%60,1) saptandı. Yapılan analizler sonucunda ameliyathane fiziksel çevresi soru formu sekiz alt boyut (ameliyat odasının etkin kullanımı, ameliyathanede mimari işlevsellik, aydınlatma etkinliği, çevre güvenliği, dinlenmeye elverişlilik, gürültü kontrolü, renk uygunluğu, sıcaklık ve nem kontrolü) ve 43 maddeden oluştu. Araştırmada soru formunun alt boyut ortalamaları ile cinsiyet, meslekte çalışma süresi, çalışma pozisyonu ve çalışma şekli arasında yapılan karşılaştırmada istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar saptandı. Ameliyathane fiziksel çevresi soru formu alt boyutları arasındaki korelasyon analizi sonucunda, p<0.001 düzeyinde, alt boyutların hem kendi aralarında hem de ameliyat odasının etkin kullanımı alt boyutu arasında pozitif yönlü ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkiler görüldü. Araştırmada yapılan regresyon analizi sonucunda, p<0.001 ve p<0,05 düzeylerinde, ameliyathanede mimari işlevsellik, çevre güvenliği, dinlenmeye elverişlilik, renk uygunluğu, sıcaklık ve nem kontrolü alt boyutlarının, ameliyathane odasının etkin kullanımı alt boyutu üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve olumlu etkisinin bulunduğu belirlendi.Anahtar Kelimeler: Ameliyathane, Ameliyathane Hemşiresi, Ameliyathane Fiziksel Çevresi
This research was done in a descriptive way to determine the effects of physical environment on the operating room nurses. The research population had been consisted of the 246 operating room nurses working at the two Hospitals of Ministry of Health, one university hospital and in five hospitals belonging to one special health group. No choice of sample was done in the research and the 233 operating room nurses who could be reached were accepted as the sample. The data of the research were collected through a questionnaire which had two parts and prepared by the researcher with the help of the literature. A personal information form which included 11 questions consisted the first part of the questionnaire, and a form of operating room physical environment question form which had 59 expressions of physical environment of the operating rooms had consisted of the second part. All data are evaluated in computer environment by SPSS version 16.0. As statistical methods; number, percentage, frequency, average, t test, ANOVA, Cronbach Alfa coefficient, correlation analysis, regression analysis and descriptive factor analysis have been use. According to the results, the nurses were 20-52 years (median 30), female (91.8 %), married (%54.1), licensed (%38.6), operating room nurses (%88.4), working time in the operating departments 1-29 years (median 4 years), working time postgraduate 1-30 years (median 9 years),), and day time shifts (%60.1). As a result of analysis, operating room physical environment question form had consisted of eight sub status (efficient usage of operating rooms, architectural functionality in the operating rooms, efficiency of lightening of the operating rooms, environment safety, convenience for relaxation, control of noise, color suitability, temperature and humidity control) which had 43 headings. In the research, statistically significant differences were seen in the comparison between the demographics, working time postgraduate, working position, mode of working and the mean values of the sub status headings of the questionnaire. As a result of the correlation analysis of the substatus headings of questionnaire about operating room physical environment, statistically significant and positive relationships were seen in between both the sub status headings themselves and the sub status of efficient usage of the operating rooms (p<0.01). As a result of regression analysis done in the research, architectural functionality in the operating rooms, environment safety, convenience for relaxation, color suitability, temperature and humidity control substatus headings, had statistically significant and positive impact on the effective usage of operating rooms ( p<0.001, p<0,05).Key words: Operating Room, Operating Room Nurse, Physical Environment of The Operating Room
