Various methods are used for the secure transmission of information in a way that remains confidential. Information hiding and encryption techniques are used for this purpose. In this study, steganography, which is a sub-branch of information hiding methods, was applied on video files, also known as moving image files. An application has been developed with an algorithm against the problem of securely transferring confidential information. The aim of the thesis is to create a secure environment for information hiding and data transmission by using steganography and cryptography on video files. For this purpose, by using the least significant bit hiding method on video files, the data is hidden sequentially and randomly with a determined formula, and this hiding process, which is made to increase security, is supported by encryption techniques. Evaluations of the developed algorithm in terms of change in carrier are measured with MSE and PSNR techniques, and evaluations in terms of durability are measured by histogram analysis technique. It is thought that with the proposed method, it can contribute to the solutions that can be realized in the field of confidential communication. |
