Son yıllarda büyük gelişme gösteren ve işletmeler tarafından tercih edilen Altı Sigma metodolojisi genellikle ülkemizde büyük firmalar tarafından kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışma, israfı azaltarak yüksek üretim hacmini hedef gösteren bir tekstil fabrikasında uygulanmıştır. İsrafı ve verimsizliği ortadan kaldırıp, karlılığı arttırmak ve bu vizyon ile süreklilik sağlamak için Altı Sigma yaklaşımı seçilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Çankırı Şabanözü ilçesi OSB'de üretim faaliyeti gösteren bir tekstil firmasında Altı Sigma Metodolojisinin uygulanması sonucunda elde edilen sonuçları tartışmaktır. Ayrıca, Altı Sigma yönteminin firmaya sağladığı etki; çalışanların Altı Sigma'ya bakış açısı, üst yönetimin metodolojiyi nasıl algıladığı ve Altı Sigma'nın proseslere etkisi açısından incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında fabrikada üretim prosesinde nihai uygulama olan ve kalite kontrol süreçlerinin uygulandığı aşamalardan biri olan "burun kapama" bölümü pilot uygulama olarak seçilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Tanımlama, Ölçme, Analiz, İyileştirme ve Kontrol olmak üzere beş Altı Sigma aşaması sırasıyla uygulanmıştır. Projenin öncesinde sigma seviyesi 4.6 olan kapma hatası projenin sonunda 5.6 seviyesine çıkmış, proje öncesi 4.6 olan kaçık hatası ise proje sonrası 5.7 sigma seviyesine çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sağladığı başarı, önemli ölçüde israf azaltmış ve verimlilik artmıştır. Fabrika genelinde verimliliğin artmasında ve kayıpların önlenmesinde işletmenin diğer proseslerinde de Altı Sigma iyileştirme metodunun kullanılması önerilmiştir. The Six Sigma methodology showed great development and preferred by businesses in recent years and this method is usually used by large companies in our country. This study has been implemented in a textile factory to reduce waste in high-volume production. The Six Sigma approach has been selected to eliminate the waste and the inefficiency, increase profitability and ensure the continuity with this vision. The aim of the study is to applicate the Six Sigma methodology and discuss obtained results in a textile manufacturing company that operates in Şabanözü district of Çankırı OIZ. It also has been examined the effect of Six Sigma method to company, in terms of the perspective of employees to Six Sigma, how the methodology is perceived by senior management and the effect of method to processes. For the implementation, "Toe Closing" department, one of the final stages of production, in which quality control checks are applied has been selected as the pilot study in the factory. Five Six Sigma phase including, define, measure, analyze, improvement and control has been applied respectively. Before the project ladder fault was 4.6 sigma level and it raised to 5.6 sigma level at the end of the project. Furthermore, the project nut fault was 4.6 sigma level and it raised to 5.7 sigma level at the end of the project. The success of this study is to significantly decrease waste and increase productivity. Using Six Sigma methodology in other factory processes is recommended to obtain factory-wide improvement and waste reduction. Key Words: Quality, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma
