Toplumlardaki devrimsel hareketler ve ideolojiler ortak bir amaç üzerine şekillenir. İdeolojinin düşünsel boyuttan çıkıp günlük hayata girebilmesi için bu ortak amacın farklı dillerde topluma sunulması gerekmektedir. Sanat ta bu dillerden biridir. Sanat, ideolojileri simgeleştirebilir. Sanat, toplumun her kesiminden insanın en etkili ve basit bir yöntemle ideolojileri algılayabilmesini sağlar.Sanatçılar da toplumların parçası olarak hem bu etkilenmeyi yaşayan hem de üretimleriyle yaşatan bireyler haline gelirler.Kültürel devrimlerin en etkili alanı olan plastik sanatlar, toplumdaki görsel zihinleri kolayca yönlendirebilir. Bu görsellikler günlük hayatın içerisinde her an karşımıza çıkabilecek ve ideolojik dilleriyle düşüncelerimize şekil verecek kadar önemlidirler.Plastik sanatın resim ve heykel dalları bu tür anlatımlar için temel zeminlerdir. İdeolojilerin güdümü ile yapılan sanat eserlerinde estetik kaygılar yerini toplumdaki her insanın anlayabileceği direk anlatım diline bırakır. Bu amaç içinde resim sanatı gerçekçi anlatımıyla, heykel sanatı da alanlarda şekil bulan anıtsal ifadeleriyle yer alırlar.Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluş yıllarında cumhuriyet ideolojisi, resim ve heykel sanatı ile simgeleşmiştir. Devlet, halka cumhuriyet ideolojisini ve milli beraberlik duygusunu yaşatmak için sanat eserlerine yön vermiştir.
In societies, the revolutionary movements and ideologies constitute for a common purpose, for ideology get out from spiritual dimension to get into daily life, that common purpose should be presented to public in different languages, the art is also one of these languages. Art can make symbolize the ideologies. The art provides understandable ideologies for each person in society by using most impressive and simple methods.As the artists which are a part of society, both live that influence and with keeping alive by their product, become individual person.Plastic arts which are the most impressive field in cultural revolutionary can easily instruct the visual minds. Those visuals are important as come up in daily life in any moment and can shape our thoughts with their ideological languages.The fields of drawing and statue in plastic arts are the basic ground for those expressions. The work of arts? esthetic anxiety which are made with ideological guidance, leave their place to mast expression language that can be understandable in society. With those aims, the drawing art with realistic expression and statue art with monumental expression always exist in life.During the founding Turkish Republic, the ideology of republic was symbolized by drawing and statue. Government guided the work of arts to public for keeping alive the republic ideology and the nationalism.
