Bu çalışmada Shakespeare'in Onikinci Gece adlı oyununun sahnelenmesinde kodlanan göstergelerin anlamlandırılması göstergebilimsel yöntem temel alınarak incelenmiştir. Oyun metninin, oyuncuların yorumunun, müziğin, sahne, ışık, kostüm tasarımının kodlandığı göstergeler de açımlanarak kültürel kodların varlığının oyunu anlamlandırmadaki yaran konusunda iz sürülmüştür. Dünyaca ünlü bir oyun yazarım daha geniş kitlelere ulaştırabilmek ve sanatı evrensel boyuta taşıyabilmek, dildeki kültürlerarası geçişi sağlayarak seyircide bir imgelem uyandırabilmekle mümkündür. Bu imgelem, seyircinin uzak olmadığı kodlarla gerçekleştiğinde ona daha çok yaklaşır. Bu çalışmada, bu amaca dönük Işıl Kasapoğlu'nun kurguladığı dünyaya tanık olmak mümkün. Sanat evrenseldir, anlatımlarsa kültürlere özgü.
In this study semiological method is used in analysing the signification of the signs coded in the stage adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. The text of the play, the dramatization of the players, the music, the stage, the lighting and costume design coded in the signs have been studied in all aspects, making it possible to demonstrate the use of the cultural codes in signification of the play. Only by invoking an imagery in the audience and by creating an intercultural linguistic transfer is it possible to convey the art of a world famous playwright to the universal audiences. An image is created in the mind of the audience if these codes are familiar to the audiences. The present study aims at achieving this purpose by analysing the Active world created by Işıl Kasapoğlu. Art is universal, while expressions are peculiar to a culture.
