Bu çalışmada özel fonksiyonların bazı özellikleri incelenmiştir. Tez altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, Pochammer sembolü, hipergeometrik fonksiyonlar, doğurucu fonksiyonlar ve tezde kullanılan bazı lemmalar verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Bessel fonksiyonu için bir doğurucu fonksiyon verilmiştir. Ayrıca Bessel fonksiyonunun rekürans bağıntıları, diferensiyel denklemi ve integral gösterimi hatırlatılmıştır. Üçüncü, dördüncü ve beşinci bölümlerde sırasıyla, Legendre, Hermite ve Laguerre polinomları için doğurucu fonksiyonlar, rekürans bağıntıları, diferensiyel denklemler, Rodrigues formülü, ortogonallik ve norm kavramları verilmiştir. Son bölümde, Bateman, Rice, Sister Celine, Bessel polinomları tanıtılmış ve bu polinomların bazı özelliklerine değinilmiştir.
In this study, some properties of special functions are examined. The thesis is composed of six sections. In the first section, Pochammer symbol, hypergeometric functions, generating functions and some lemmas used in the thesis are given. In the second section, a generating function for Bessel functions is given. Recurrence relations, differential equation and integral representation of Bessel functions are recalled. In third, fourth and fifth sections generating functions, recurrence relations, differential equation, Rodrigues formula, ortogonality and the concept of norm are investigated for Legendre, Hermite and Laguerre polynomials. In the last section, Bateman, Rice, Sister Celine and Bessel polynomials are introdoced and generating functions for these polynomials are studied.
