Bu çalışma, yaratılmış bir argo dil olan "nadsafın çevirisinde kullanılan stratejilere etki eden normları çözümlemek amacı ile yazılmıştır. Bu çözümleme, Gideon Toury'nin belirlediği Betimleyici Çeviribilim Çalışmalarfndaki norm kavramı çerçevesinde ele alınacaktır. Bunun öncesinde kaynak metnin ve erek metnin içinde oluştuğu sosyal, kültürel ve tarihsel yapı belirlenecek, belirlenen farklılıklar üzerinden yazınsal işlev açısından eleştiri yapılacak ve ardından erek metnin içerisindeki normlar bulgular üzerinden değerlendirilecektir. Sonuç olarak, bu çerçevede ele alınan Otomatik Portakal adlı çeviride normların etkisi, dahası stratejileri açıklamada normların yeterliği sınanacaktır. The purpose of this study is to analyze the norms that have influenced the strategies used in the translation of an artificial slang NADSAT. The analyses shall be done within the framework of the concept of norm as defined by Gideon Toury's Descriptive Translation Studies. Before this analysis of the social, the cultural and the historical context in which the source and the target text were realized, the literary function of both the source text and the target text will be criticized through their comparison. Following these criticisms, the norms in the target texts will be evaluated according to the findings. In conclusion, within this framework, the influence of norms in Otomatik Portakal, and the sufficiency of the norms to account for the strategies used by translator shall be tested.
