Bu araştırma yaşlılardaki dini hayatı değişik boyutlardan tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için önce konunun teorik zemini hazırlanmış, daha sonra yaşlılardaki dini hayatın psiko-sosyal temelleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma Erzurum kent merkezi ve çevre köylerinde yaşlan 60 ve 100 arası olan yaşlılar üzerinde tesadüfi örneklem yoluyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma üç bölümden meydana gelmektedir. Birinci bölümde çalışmaya giriş mahiyetinde bilgiler verilmiş, ikinci bölümde ise konunun teorik zemini hazırlanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde yaşlılardaki dini hayatın çeşitli boyutları incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak belli bir örneklem grubuyla sınırlı bulunan bu çalışma, yaşlıların dini hayatının değişik yönlerini incelemeyi hedef edinmiş ve yürütülmüştür.
This study has been made in order to detect aged people's religious lives. In order to achieve this goal firs the theoretical basis of the subject has been prepared and next the psycho - social roots of old people's religious lives have been studied through statistical methods. The research has been carried out on old people aged sixty to hundred from the center and neighboring villages of Erzurum through random sampling. The study consists of three chapters. The first chapter gives information to the study. In the second chapter the theoretical basis of the subject has been prepared. The third chapter analyses the different dimensions of aged people's religious lives through statistical methods. As a result the research limited to a particular sample group aims to study the different dimensions of aged people's religious lives.
