Eğitimde program değerlendirme uygulamaları, program geliştirme sürecinde programın yönetici ve yürütücülerine program öğeleri hakkında detaylı bilgi verirken aynı zamanda programın en temel bileşenlerinden biri olan öğrencilere, programın geliştirilmesi sürecinde aktif rol vermesi noktasında da önemlidir. Bu gereklilikten hareketle, bu araştırma, Açıköğretim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilimler Önlisans Programı'nın, öğrencilerin görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada, tarama modellerinden olan tekil tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Tekil tarama modeliyle Sosyal Bilimler Programı'nda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin kişisel bilgileri, bu programa ilişkin görüşleri ve beklentileri betimlenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Anadolu Üniversitesi Açıköğretim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilimler Önlisans Programı'nda öğrenim gören toplam 1168 1. ve 2. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Öğrencilerin tümüne web ortamında oluşturulan anket yoluyla ulaşılmıştır. Anket sistemine 815 öğrenci giriş yapmış ve bunların 493'ü anket sorularına cevap vermiştir. Araştırmanın amacı kapsamında gereksinim duyulan veriler, araştırmacı tarafından öğrencilere uygulanmak üzere hazırlanan "Sosyal Bilimler Programını Değerlendirme Anketi" yoluyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin çözümlenmesinde sayı ve yüzdelerden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda, öğrencilerin genel olarak program hakkında olumlu görüşler taşıdığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğrenciler genel olarak programın amaçlarını, kapsamını, programın en önemli bileşenlerinden biri olan kitaplarını, değerlendirme uygulamalarını olumlu olarak nitelendirmiştir. Diğer yandan e-öğrenme ortamlarının öğrencilerin çoğunluğunca kullanılmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğrencilerin programa kaydolma nedenleri arasında ilk sırada çalıştığı işte terfi almak yer alırken, yeni bir işe girmek noktasında programdaki dersler mesleki açıdan yetiştirici bulunmamaktadır. Öğrencilerin büyük bir kısmı kitaplardaki içeriğin çok uzun ve ayrıntılı olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Ayrıca ünite sonu sorularının sayıca yetersiz olduğu belirlenmiştir. Özellikle Sosyal Bilimler Programı'nın sürekli geliştirilerek yaygınlaştırılması gerektiği öğrencilerin çok büyük bir kısmı tarafından belirtilmiştir. Programme evaluation processes throughout education is important not only by supplying detailed information about programme components to the administrator and executives during the programme evaluation process but also by supplying active roles to the students who are one of the most basic constituents of the programme during the programme evaluation process. From this necessity on, this research has been launched with the aim of Open Education Faculty Two Year Degree Social Sciences Programme's being evaluated according to the views of the students. In this research done in 2013-2014 education-(instruction) year, individual scanning model which is one of the scanning models has been used. Through this individual scanning model, students', who are getting educated in Social Sciences Programme, personal informations, their views about this programme and expectations have been described. In total, 1168 freshmen and second year students who are getting educated in Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Two Year Degree Social Sciences Programme have composed the study circle of the research. All the students have been accessed throughout the survey created on website. Out of the 815 students who have logged in the survey system, 493 of them have answered the survey questions. The datum needed for the aim of the research have been collected by the researcher through 'Social Sciences Programme Evaluation Survey', prepared to be applied to the students. At the end of the research, it has been found out that students have positive views about the programme in general. Students have, in general, evaluated the aims and the extent of the programme, their books which are one of the most important components of the programme and the evaluation applications, in a positive way. On the other hand, it has been found that e education settings have not been used by the majority of the students. Among the reasons why students are enrolled to the programme, the first reason is to be promoted in their work, but the lectures in the programme have not been sufficient enough to get a new job. Most of the students have told that the contents of the books are too long and too detailed. Besides, end of the unit questions have been found to be numerically insufficient. The necessity for the permanent development and extension of Social Sciences Programme in particular has been mentioned by the majority of the students.
