Great Selçuklu Empire and its continiued existance Turkey SelçukluEmpire had continiued the old undershanding of Turkish sovereignity.According to this sovereignity which was believed to be a divine power givenbg god; transmission of political goveenvent and ability of administration tothe members of the dynastic by blood, created a big struggle for thesovereign?s throne between them at mast of the time and this struggledetermined the methods of the ruler?s getting up to the throne.First one of these methods is to get to the sovereign?s throne as thefounder of the stade. After the foundation of the state, struggle between themembers for the throne has caused the development of different kinds ofmethods. Second method has appeared by defeating the rivals with thecontestation depending on the power between the members. The precautiontaken when the state got into political crises defined the third method.According to this, although he is alive, the existing ruler makes one of theprinces get up to the sovereign?s throne in ocder to prement the chaos in thestate. On the other hond, in the history of Turkey and Selçuklu Empire, wecan not manag that this method has performed successfully. In this situation, inorder to prevent the crises and determine the new ruler, it is seen that, bythe preferances of statesman and the commenders, one of the memberswould have been able to get to the throne. This apptication has comeaccross as the 4 th method that the ruler is to be chosen. Except thesemethods, we see some other exauples such as getting up to the throne bythe help and the support of a ruler of a neighbour state .We can also see that when the state is in a huge political crises,Selçuklu pulers could get up to the throne and continiued their sovereignityAs a result, the code of inheritance of throne which was seen inSeçuklu and the old Turkish governuents could have never been legislated. As a natural result of this, inevitable throne struggles between the membersrepeated itself as a legitimate airamustance. This struggle has caused morethan one method to get up to the throne between the rulers. |
